Project Born has just released a book documenting their journey through the underground music scene.
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. By now I’m sure you’ve heard that Flint Michigan’s own Project Born has just released their book “Forever in the Jects”. The publication documents the group’s journey through the years, navigating the underground music scene. Beyond the music, the members share stories about their personal lives, growing up in the projects, selling drugs, and surviving in a very tough environment.
The new book is available now on Project Born’s website https://www.therealprojectborn.com as well as Amazon. For Juggalos, fans, and serious collectors, I strongly recommend buying the book from the group’s website. It’s available for twenty dollars and books sold from the website will be autographed by the author and members of the group.
The book was recently discussed on MC Lars and MC Snax show Hatchet Chat. The episode “Forever in the Jects” centers around the inspiration for writing the book, some of the content included, as well as the author and the group’s hopes for the publication. Project Born and the author have been involved with a number of interviews lately, promoting the new release.

The group will also be doing a series of in-store appearances to promote the book, meet and greet fans, and generally get down the old school way, like it was done in the 90’s. The first in-store will be at TRAX-N-WAX record store located at 26535 Harper Ave in St. Clair Shores Michigan. The event was organized with the help of Jay Watson (Placenta Recordings) who also has a guest feature in the book.
The TRAX-N-WAX appearance kicks off at 4pm and will continue until 6pm on July 17th. Come out and meet Project Born, purchase a copy of the new book, get a picture with the group, or get some PJB memorabilia autographed. Other in-stores are being planned and will be announced as the dates become available.

The group is also scheduled for an appearance on CRB Radio’s “Cruisin The Barrio” show hosted by the Rudy “Rude Boy” Hill and DJ Carlito, along with A.T. Huck, and HB the Grizzly. Tune in this Saturday for a special show that will be covering all aspects of the newly dropped material. As of today, the party gets going with the Cruisers at 8pm (July 10th). Don’t miss your chance to hear from Project Born as they discuss the history, music, and much more.
Cruisin The Barrio is featured in the book as well as special interviews with the Rude Boy. If your a Juggalo who enjoys the history and culture, you will not want to miss a chance to peer behind the curtain and hear the stories from the people that were there when everything went down.

The book also features Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse. Although I don’t want to give away too much here, Violent J talks about the early years in Flint and how the relationship with Project Born led to the group getting signed with Psychopathic Records in 1995, as well as much more.
The book takes the reader on a wild journey which has something for everyone. From growing up in extreme poverty, to selling drugs on the mean streets of Flint Michigan, the early years working in the music game, and the decades grinding.

The publication winds through the years and eventually brings the reader to the modern day, including Project Born’s performance at the Big Ballas X-MAS party in Southwest Detroit, at the El Club (located at 4114 W. Vernor Highway, Detroit).
Full of never before seen pictures, items from the group’s past, and stories that up until this point, have never seen the light of day, “Forever in the Jects” is the perfect addition to any underground collection. Don’t miss the chance to get an autographed copy from Project Born’s website or meet them in person on July 17th at TRAX-N-WAX.

If that wasn’t enough news to blow your wig, just wait because after the in-store appearance in St. Clair Shores, the group will be heading over to Allen Park for the first annual “Dankish Vibe Life Underground HipHop Festival”. Project Born is slotted to perform at the show along with a host of other underground artists.
Simons After Dark will be the location for this event and tickets are $10 dollars at the door. A small price to pay for a night of underground music conducted live. This is a night we’ve been waiting for after a year of lockdown madness.
On July 17th, get off the couch, and join the ranks of underground rap fans who are getting back out into the real world to reclaim the music. Don’t forget to check out Project Born’s website and order an autographed copy today. Amazon copies will not be autographed, so if your looking for a piece of PJB memorabilia, head over to https://www.therealprojectborn.com

Thanks for visiting ROX-TV and we look forward to seeing you again. Please keep checking back for updates on Project Born and as soon as more information is passed on, we will be getting the word out to the readers. It’s important to support the underground music scene, in Michigan as well as the rest of the country. We need to take care of our artists and keep the music alive for generations yet to come. I’ve been a fan of Project Born since the early 90’s and can speak from experience on this. The music that is important to you when your a teenager will still be important to you as an adult. The music is a time machine, which…combined with the proper amount of good marijuana allows you to re-visit those special times in your own lives many years later. If we don’t know where we’ve been, we won’t know where we’re going. Celebrate underground music history in your city and across the country. Roll up your sleeves, get out to the shows, and lets keep this shit banging for another thirty years. Thanks for reading and also for your support. Until next time….
Signing off,
