ROX-TV speaks with Cleveland’s Z-DeezY about his music, influences, and what’s next
Welcome to the ROX-TV website. For the readers that are just learning about you and your music, can you introduce yourself/group and let the world know what city you’re representing tonight?

My name is Z-DeezY former member of Cadillac Brothers, Critical Acclaim, and Infamous O’ Boyz. Coming straight outta Cleveland Ohio
Before we get into some of the things your currently doing, I’d like to take the readers back to the beginning of the story. How old were you when music started to really take an active role in your life? What was the group or song that first got you excited about music?
Ever since I was a child, I grew up listening to everything. But the first Hip Hop group…House of Pain (and the song) Jump Around. I’m a huge fan of Everlast.
How long were you a fan of the music before you decided to try and start “creating” your own stuff? What were those early years like and did it come easy to you? Or did it take a minute to hone and perfect the craft?

Well I’ve sang my whole life, my mother played piano and my father was always blasting music in and out of the living room. I was forever getting in trouble for throwing concerts up in my own room blasting some GNR, White Zombie, or Sublime.
How much time passed before you got serious about not only creating music, but actually getting the music recorded?
Well, when I started getting serious, it was in 2005. My Boy Double M aka Magik Mayhem moved back to Ohio from Kentucky. After following their local music scene and befriending hip hop groups like The Villebillies and the Strugglas. We decided we wanted to do our own thing.
For the readers that are just getting to know you and your music, can you talk about your current music archive and past releases? What’s out there and where can the readers go to purchase or hear the music?

I’m in the process of creating my solo album Z-DeezY. But you can search on Itunes, Spotify, or YouTube for Cadillac Brothers, you would have to go to Reverbnation to search for any Critical Acclaim or Infamous O’ Boyz tracks.
Can you talk about some of the current projects your working on? Or perhaps some recent drops that the readers should key into?
Well I’m working with a new producer Doc Remedy of Primal Rage. I am working on some big features on the album and working with a lot of artists I met from the past. I’m really excited to get my vision out there.
Are you planning on any live events/concerts in the coming months before 2021 closes out? If so, when and where?
Not at the moment, until this album is finished, then the grind starts.
What is the underground/hip hip/rap scene look like in Ohio at the moment? For people reading from Michigan and other parts of the country, can you describe the music community within Ohio?
![]()
Well Covid hurt it for a while but there will always be new artists doing their thing. Ohio is a great place to see music plenty of venues and bars to see live music.
Any big news you want to tease out to the fans and readers tonight?
Just working on having a special artist outta NYC, it’s too soon to leak that, but it’s gonna be a Banger.
Where can fans purchase your music? Platforms for hearing your songs?
Z- DeezY will be on all streaming services until then iTunes or Spotify to cop your favorite Cadillac Brothers tracks, or first album Panty Droppers.
Thanks for rocking it up with us tonight. Before we close the interview down, I like to do shout outs, like we did in the nineties. Who are you shouting out tonight?
