ROX-TV’s continuing coverage of the “Gathering of the Juggalos 21” keeps rolling with the homie HEXXX
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. Tonight, we have received some very big news in regard to the GOTJ 21. Insane Clown Posse announced that the big homie HEXXX has been tapped to join the amazing lineup in Thornville Ohio for what is set to be the biggest Gathering in years. As always, ROX-TV strives to bring the readers news and big interviews from the underground’s hottest artists. I am really excited to announce that HEXXX is stopping by the ROX-TV universe to chop it up with me about this big time Juggalo news. So without further to do….lets get to it.
It’s great having you back to ROX-TV to talk with us big HEXXX. We’ve been following you since last winter and you’ve been doing some amazing shit out on the West Coast, putting it down for that West Coast Wicked Shit. What does it mean to you to having been selected to perform at this year’s historic gathering? I know you’re a Juggalo from way back so it’s probably a dream come true?
HEXXX has been tapped to perform at the Gathering of the Juggalos 21, going down in Ohio. Don’t miss his set, it’s sure to be a non stop banger from start to finish. If you don’t know, catch up.
HEXXX: Firstly, thank you for having me back On ROX-TV. Yes, I have been killing it on the West Coast, been doing shows with Green Jello. Was also a part of the historic Dead City Punx & Born x Raised show that was under the Los Angeles freeways, it’s been crazy active. Man it’s been a journey getting to this stage, getting to the Gathering of the Juggalos. I mean for me, from where I come from, it’s a dream come true. Straight humble beginnings – to the Clown Drip Stage, daytime headlining Friday 5:30pm… Dream come true for real.
I know your probably keeping it a secret, but what if anything can you say or talk about in regard to the dope set you will be dropping in Ohio?
HEXXX: It’s a fully loaded 30 minutes. I will be doing some new unreleased songs, and all the shit my fans love to hear from me. Just make sure to be there. I won’t have pyrotechnics like the legends that have hit that stage in previous years, but I’m still going to keep it explosive. But that’s pretty much all I can say.
You will be performing at the Clown Drip Stage on Friday August 20th and sharing the stage with some of the Psychopathic greats including Project Born, Dayton Family, and the Inner City Posse (who will be performing the recording that really started it all…”Dog Beats”). As a Juggalo yourself, sharing a stage with Psychopathic Royalty has got to be Christmas in August. If some would have told you all those years ago that you’d be sharing a stage with ICP, would you have believed it?
HEXXX: To be on stage with Inner City Posse, I mean come on, this is what started it all, all the G shit. Me being able to finally throw down at the Gathering and spit my shit and give my energy to the culture is true manifestation of dreams and hard work. It’s truly an honor to share the stage with so many legends. You know how I feel about it Mike, from the last time we spoke in-person in Detroit, how much I respect all of these artists.
The Gathering of the Juggalos really personifies a “who’s who” in the world of the Wicked Clownz Universe. You have definitely arrived on the scene with your West Coast sound. What are some of your fondest memories of the GOTJ’s concerts or ICP shows from back in the day? (Or any other memory you’d like to talk about in relation to the Juggalo Culture)
HEXXX is brining the West Coast Wicked Shit to the Gathering of the Juggalos 21. This cat is the real deal and on an unstoppable path to greatness. Whoop Whoop.
HEXXX: This is only the beginning. The Gathering is definitely showcasing a new era this year. You heard what Rudy said at CRB Radio during my interview (and for those who haven’t heard – go play that episode back from 2/26/21) … As Rudy said “I’m the dopest shit he’s heard in 20 years” – the West Coast Wicked Shit has arrived.
My fondest memory would be pulling up to the Big Money Hustlas Movie Tour in Anaheim. I had my face paint on, I hopped out the car, it was immediately love from EVERYONE. Then all the fam started a Chicken Huntin chant, we were all hype. I even kept it going all the way down to the end of the line. I went to the show by myself, I always rolled solo cause I didn’t know many Juggalos in the high desert back then – the feeling of being embraced for the 1st time by the family is still unforgettable.
For the Juggalos getting geared up around the country, getting ready to head to Ohio in two weeks, what is the message tonight from HEXXX to the loyal fans out there?
HEXXX: It’s all been in the cards. Thank you for always rockin with me. I’m taking this W back to the 760 – we did it.
I’m proud to call you my homeboy. It’s been amazing to watch you from the other side of the country as you’ve been setting the West Coast on fire with your unique brand and style, you have a great management team headed up by the dynamite Macey Fox, and I hope we can chop it up at the Gathering in Ohio when you are not busy killing the stage. Maybe get an exclusive interview for the readers at ROX-TV from behind the scenes?
HEXXX: Honestly all of this, I wouldn’t be able to do without my wife, my partner in crime, she’s my muse and my manager – she makes a lot of things move in my world. And you know my girl will be right along with us for all these historic moments. I would love to tour the grounds with you and enjoy all of the festivities as one big family. Can’t wait for us to reunite homie.
