ROX-TV takes a look at Ouija Macc’s new video “Get a Life”. It’s getting a big response right now. So here comes the review.

Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. I haven’t thought of a catchy phrase for the video and song reviews, so for now it’s simply just a “review”. I’d like to thank all of our returning readers, who stop by to see what we have cooking in the lab. Tonight we are going to be looking at Ouija Macc’s latest drop “Get a Life” video, which hit the streets on October 12, 2021. As you may know, I’ve managed to catch Ouija perform at various location over the last year or so, and he doesn’t disappoint.

The first chance I got to see him perform was at the 2020 Big Ballas Christmas Show at the El Club in Southwest Detroit (located at 4114 W. Vernor). He put up an amazing set and I was able to really dig on his stage performance for the first time. I would catch him at Piere’s (5629 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana) for the Prom Night 25th Anniversary Show.

Ouija Macc is on permanent overdrive. This guy is a real content machine. Nothing gets in his way and the music he is creating is un-cut dope.

Again, he brought nothing but fire and a dope DJ (DJ Chunk set the tables on fire with his skill set). I flew out to see him perform at the famous Roxy Theatre (2549 Welton Street, Denver) in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver, for the “Death by Denver” show. Of course, he played at the 21st Annual Gathering of the Juggalos in Legend Valley, Ohio as well.

Ouija Macc is basically a man on a mission and his work pace and content machine is always running on overdrive. It’s inspiring to watch someone really seize the moment and makes me want to work harder in my own endeavors. Anyone that can have that affect on people is magic and I do respond to magic (667). So he dropped a video for the song “Get a Life” and we are here to review the end result. “Get a Life” is the first single off the “Pretty Ugly 2” which is hitting all platforms on November 19th. I’m a little behind getting this review out, but had to take a few days off for a recent rehab visit in October. Shit is what it is. So without further to do, lets jump down into the hole and see what we can see…..

The video kicks off and immediately there is a lot going on. I have historically had a hard time paying attention over the years and I enjoy anything that can keep me engaged. The layered affects of the song are pleasing to my ears and the vibe is also something that jumps out at me. Songs like this remind me of non-descript situations, where things aren’t exactly light or dark. There is a feeling inside of me that bubbles up….that feeling of walking into the unknown possibly? There could be danger waiting in the distance, but at the moment, you are safe enough to continue. Like an alley way at sundown. Perhaps there isn’t a reason to turn back…at least not yet.

HEXXX and Ouija Macc in the “yellow room”. I consider these artists to be the cutting edge of tomorrow. Do not miss a chance to see them live. Two of the highest energy performers you will find.

The camera angles and movement are dope to me. Before too long, big HEXXX from Cali is in the frame, posted up chillin like a villain, while Ouija drops the verbal knowledge. About a minute in and I see another familiar face, Maezi (Lead Guitar) from ScytheGang666 clowning for the camera. There is also a chick with some nice ink, shaking what she’s got….with a great Chuckie tat on the left cheek.

There is that continuous movement and lots to take in visually. I always like seeing ink in a video and there is plenty to look at. Ouija Macc continues with that Las Vegas swagger as the track rolls on down the road. It’s a smooth ride and I’m am into it. Of all the “sections” of the video, I really dig the yellow room the most with the umbrellas tossed in for good measure.

Ouija mean mugging the camera as a highly decorated bootie bounces nearby. Gotta love a woman with a Chuckie tat on her left cheek. Damn.

This is the kind of song that goes good with the city at night. I can picture myself dipping down North Saginaw street in Flint, as the night slowly consumes the neighborhoods. I can see the street lights flickering in the darkness and the window is cracked just enough to let out the smoke and a let in a little fresh air. The streets are empty except for a solitary cruise through Murder City. That’s the type of shit this song invokes in my mind and I can feel it.

When I watch this video and see these cats, I can’t help but look to the future. This is the future….most people just don’t know it yet. I really believe that.

These artists are the banner carriers that I think will be leading the scene into the next twenty years or so, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish with their time and space. The video comes to an end, and I was not disappointed. I’ve said it before but get off your dead ass and check out Ouija at a show. He is an energy event every time. Don’t miss your chance.

Final Review:

The song is great and the video is too. I give this effort four Glocks out of four Glocks (model 22, 40 cal. of course)
