ROX-TV announces an “80’s Dance Party” fundraiser on May 14th. We need your help and are putting out a “Call to Arms”.
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. We appreciate all the returning readers on this Good Friday. Unfortunately, the ROX-TV family has received some bad news. I’ve been told that Rudy “Rude Boy” Hill’s beautiful daughter Sylvanna has been diagnosed with some very serious medical issues recently and going forward will require immediate medical intervention and surgery.
Obviously, this is a very trying time for the Hill family and our thoughts and prayers are going out to them today. To assist with the financial burden of living expenses while Sylvanna will be recovering, there is an event being planned at this very moment. The proceeds will go to easing the burden of long-term recovery in the matter and ROX-TV is firmly behind it in doing whatever we can to help.
The event being planned is called the “80’s Dance Party” and will be a fundraiser for Sylvanna, Rude Boy’s daughter. I had some dealings with Sylvanna, when I interviewed her for Rudy’s book “My Life The Funhouse” and she was an absolute joy to work with. She gave me a great interview about her father and it is one of my favorite pieces included in the book.
The Dance will be going down on May 14th at the Jefferson Event Center, from 6pm to midnight and will be featuring the very best of the 80’s era music. Attendees are being encouraged to come dressed as their favorite 80’s Icon, and I think people are going to have a lot of fun with this one. Donations will be $25 dollars and will include drinks and food. There will be a cash bar on hand also. The party will be 21 and up, so get the kids a babysitter.
Sylvanna is in the biggest fight of her life with brain cancer and the ROX-TV family is asking for your help. If you can’t make the date, please send in a donation in your absence. Every little bit counts. So lets all pitch in and help this young lady on her road to recovery. We hope to see you there on the 14th! Bring your dancing shoes.
