ROX-TV’s continuing series coverage of the Gathering of the Juggalos 22 keeps rolling. Tonight we are excited to be talking with ROADSIDE GHOST. Get hip and read about it now!

Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. Tonight, we are excited to announce that our homies Roadside Ghost are in the house. As you know we had them on earlier in the year to talk about their music and the latest happenings with the group. I caught them in Arizona at the Rialto Theatre and it was a night for the ages. Roadside Ghost played an amazing show, and I was stoked to be there. The group also recently dropped one of the best songs of the year with Insane Clown Posse called “Ain’t No Time”. The song and video had been garnishing an amazing amount of views on YouTube and the last time I checked, was blowing past a half a million. Currently, the epic and soul piercing track is at 724,219 watches and growing daily.

Violent J and Roadside Ghost hit the right notes in “Ain’t No Time”. It’s one of my favorite songs to grace YouTube in recent years and instantly captivated me.

As the Juggalos and Juggalettes know, our homies Roadside Ghost have been invited to play at the Gathering of the Juggalos 2022 annual celebration. The lineup has them playing the Joke Ya Mind Stage on Friday and you do not want to miss their set. I can guarantee if you do, you’ll be kicking your own ass until the end of the time. I hear they are working on a new project called “Monster“. These are great days we are living bros, so without further to do, lets jump into the mix with the SoCal Inland Empire homies.

It’s great to have you guys back on with us. This year has given us lots of movement in the scene and I’ve been watching Roadside Ghost from my perch in the Murder Mitten. I feel the sky is the limit for you guys and can’t wait to see/hear what you get up to next. I guess with the GOTJ22 on everyone’s mind, we should talk a bit about that upcoming performance. The Gathering of the Juggalos is ground zero for the annual celebrations of the Juggalo and Juggalette Culture. What does it mean to you guys to have been invited to play this historic (in real time) event?

This is a big one for us! We are honored to have been invited to play at the gathering. It means the world to us to play for the Juggalos and Juggalettes who will descend upon legend valley in full force from around the world. We are just so stoked to have been given the opportunity to show them what West Coast Rockin’ is all about.

Roadside Ghost is bringing their sounds to the Gathering of the Juggalos 2022 this year. I advise that you make it to their set. I caught them in Arizona, and they murdered it.

As I writer, I am prone to pondering all aspects of an event, from the inception to the execution. How are you guys preparing for your upcoming appearance? Do any of the guys in the group have any special rituals to prepare for a gig or is it a business as usual type of vibe? Where you know what you want to do, already envision the day, and hit the stage with an idea of how its going to go?

We have been practicing non stop and have put together a set that will include some serious bangers. You might even get to catch a couple new songs never before performed live. Typically, when we are gearing up for a show we already know exactly what’s going to happen. We plan out our attack, what songs we want to play, and rehearse until it is muscle memory. A Musician will practice until they memorize their music, a professional musician will practice it until they can never forget it. We try to live by that when gearing up for a show.

The GOTJ crowds are always the wildest and most passionate, at least in my opinion. What type of energy do you feel when you are up on that stage before a live audience? I can only assume the frequency, vibe, and feel are out of this world?

The feeling of being on stage in front of a live crowd is something unearthly. Words cannot describe the happiness you feel watching your craft affect so many people. People who come from all walks of life united by the love of music! Not just any music, but your music! You get to see the reward for all your blood, sweat, and tears take shape in real time. It transcends you to a place where nothing else matters for that brief moment in time. It’s a feeling that you never really want to go away.

With the Gathering of the Juggalos 2022 fast approaching, now is the time to make your plans to get there. Don’t kick yourself in the ass for the next 20 years because you missed it. Make the myths!

For the readers at ROX-TV, could you tell us a little bit about this new project “Monster”? We always get excited about new material dropping and without giving too much away, what is “Monster”, perhaps the inspiration behind the idea, and when can the readers and fans check it out?

The inspiration for “Monster” didn’t come from ghouls with snarling mouths full of razor-sharp teeth. It came from something much more sinister. “Monster” is the beast that hides in the shadows of humanity. A beast so easily disguised with a little lie, and a simple smile. You just never know who you could be sitting next to on that bus. The quiet neighbor across the street who always seemed so nice until we saw them on the evening news. Thats the monster that frightens me. We are in the final stages of recording the new single and will start shooting a video for it soon after the gathering. You can look forward to checking that out sometime in August or September.

As a music fan for my entire life, I don’t think there is anything more sacred than a live performance. Why are live events so important to you guys? Why do we need to keep supporting live music in your own opinion?

There are very few things in life that has the potential to unite people like a concert. Complete strangers become family within the sea of vibrations. If you allow yourself to feel the love in that kind of environment it really can be a healing experience. You don’t get that many other places in life and it is truly beautiful. We love being able to create the kind of environment people can run to when they are going through struggles in their lives. A place where for a couple hours people can find the love, happiness and excitement that sometimes gets lost in life. The support from fellow music lovers keeps this alive and well!

I’d like to shout out Roadside Ghost for always making time for the ROX-TV readers. If you’re not hip, get on YouTube and wise up son.

Roadside Ghost will be sharing the stage with some serious big names at the GOTJ. Artists like KRS-1, Slick Rick, and many more. Aside from your upcoming dynamite set, is there anyone you are looking forward to chopping it up with this year? Having so many performers and artists in one place is really cool. From an artist point of view, what’s it like being around so many practitioners of music at one time? Do you feel a sense of comradery in times like these?

We are definitely stoked to be rocking the set Friday night. Main stage is going to be Lit! Hexxx, BabyTron, Mike E. Clark, Sir mix-a-lot, and Ouija Macc! It’s going to be wild kicking it and preforming with such great talent. Being around so many great musicians all at once is really going to be a blast! This year we are really hoping to get cracking on some new recordings. we have a lot of great songs just itching to be released upon the world. After the gathering that is priority for us. We would love to continue jamming with some of the West Coast players gonna be sharing the stage with us for sure though. Just a dream for now but it would be sick to shred the gnar with Ouija and Hexxx in the near future.

Does Roadside Ghost have any message or want to say anything to the readers and Juggalos out there who are planning on making the pilgrimage to Ohio?

Yes! The trip out to the Gathering is going to be well worth it. I fully believe this years GOTJ will be a gathering like none other. With such slammin’ acts every day and night you can’t go wrong. It’s going to be a most Juggalicious event you’ll be happy you were a part of.

Roadside Ghost is not a group to be slept on. Their sound is like a glass of ice water after coming out of the desert. It’s time to come alive! Support your local and national music scenes, especially artists with class…

I know you guys are busy, so I won’t keep you all night. Will there be Roadside Ghost merch available at the show either before or after?

Yes! We will have our merch available from 10am-10pm on Friday August 5th at the gathering. We will be kicking it at our merch booth for a good portion of the day. Be sure to swing by and kick it with ya boys for a bit!

I’d like to thank you guys for speaking with us and being featured on the ROX-TV Special Coverage for the Gathering of the Juggalos 22. Before we boogie out of there, anything else you’d like to add?

A Big THANK YOU to ROX-TV for having us back. We really appreciate you for reaching out to us. We’d also like to thank our friend, “the duke of the wicked” VIOLENT J for including us in his dream at the gathering. It’s been such a pleasure being able to work with ICP and we look forward to the tasty freshness still yet to come!

Thank you guys for speaking with me, it’s an honor to interview Roadside Ghost. I hope to run into you in Ohio if time permits. Take care brothers, I know the GOTJ is going to be amazing, can’t wait to see you in action again.
