Looking past the curtain: One person’s journey to make it in the world of professional wrestling

Thank you for taking the time to sit down with ROX-TV Tiny Double H aka Hannah Henderson. I’d like to talk to you about your career in the world of professional wrestling. Many of the ROX-TV website readers are fans of wrestling and I know they will be interested to what you have to say. But I also think there are people reading that might not know much about the sport or what it takes to make a career in the profession. I’m going to ask you a series of questions that might be a little basic for full time followers of wrestling, but someone new to the sport might be wondering about or the just plain curious readers. So without further to do, lets get into it…..
For starters, why don’t you tell the ROX-TV readers a little bit about your background. How old you are? Where you are from? Obviously apart from wrestling, what other passions make Hannah move?

Hi! I’m 18 years old, from Las Vegas, NV. As far as other passions, yes, I love punk rock music. I sing and play guitar in a punk rock band, so of course that is one of my other passions. I also enjoy playing video games, I’m a huge Legend of Zelda fan. It’s been my favorite ever since I was a kid.
So now that we know a little bit more about you. I guess it’s time to dive into the sport and your place in it. Obviously, wrestling is a serious passion. Can you tell the readers about where that passion started? Was there some point in your life that you really got into the sport or excited about some aspect of it? Please fill us in.
Well, unlike every other indy wrestler out there, I didn’t grow up watching it. I didn’t start watching wrestling until like 3 years ago, it was WrestleMania 34. I remember it easily; and since then I fell in love. I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life and strive to become successful in it.
It’s no secret that your small in stature, but big in heart. How has your size shaped your career within the sport? Do you think that because you are a little smaller than let’s say Kongo Kong…..that it helps you stand out from the pact in a good way?
Oh definitely, its helped me stand out for sure in a good way. But in those situations, where as Kongo Kong, I have to be careful and use my size to my advantage. It’s almost always been David vs. Goliath in those kinds of situations.
What advice do you have for someone at home, if they are considering the move to get into professional wrestling? What is a good idea? What is something to stay away from? Anything along those lines that you feel could help an aspiring wrestler break into the sport?

If you’re wanting to get into professional wrestling, do it. Don’t just sit at home and wonder how to get into it.. take action. Find a good reputable school. A good idea is definitely invest in yourself. Invest in good wrestling gear, and merch, and do anything you can to get better. I also wrestle a lot in Michigan, and if you’re a local wrestler, you would know that there’s a lot of drama.
Try your best to just stay away and out of those situations, and there are gonna be times where promoters will try and take advantage of you. Don’t let them. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. That’s how I get better, is by asking questions and working on my craft.
I’ve seen you wrestle at an IBW event in Trenton, tell me, how did you get involved with the IBW?
Actually, I’ve only wrestled at one event for IBW. I contacted Huck to see about any future tapings, and to my luck I was able to wrestle Harley Fairfax. I hope to be able to attend to more in the future and show everyone what I can do.
Is there one opponent in the IBW that you’d really like to wrestle or have some diabolical history with….that makes you mortal enemies no matter what?
Hm.. War Inc. It seems as if they have a personal pick with me, and I’ll take them on one by one if I have to. Bring it on fellas!
What’s the toughest thing you’ve encountered while chasing your dreams in the wrestling world?
The toughest thing has honestly been to not give up. There have already been days where I wanted to give up on this dream, as I’m hard on myself. But I can’t give up; this is my dream and no matter what, I have to keep pushing myself, no matter how hard it gets.

What do you have to say to your fans, old and young out there, about what they can expect from you in the 2021 and beyond?
2021 is going to be the year where I get better and better. I’ve already gotten better the first 3 months into the year. Expect a lot and be on the lookout.
What’s the greatest match you ever seen….as a fan of wrestling? Can be from any time period or territory.
Well.. As mentioned before, I did not grow up on wrestling. I am still continuing to do my research and grow. But, my favorite match of all time would have to be El Generico vs. Kevin Steen Ladder War from Ring of Honor from 2010 I believe. It was their final battle in ROH and it was just an incredible match to watch. From start to ending, the two of them had tremendous chemistry that they wanted to rip each others heads off.. and you believed it.
Shout outs: Who would you like to shout out tonight?
I would like to shout out Huck. Thank you for letting me get this IBW opportunity, and I hope there are more to come!
Thank you for your time and sitting down with ROX-TV. We appreciate you taking time away from your busy schedule to talk with us a bit. We hope to see you in the ring soon, once the world opens back up. Have a good day Hannah!
