DYLIGENT RELEASES “STAY DYLIGENT EP” AUGUST 11th

“Go and get it on your own, don’t expect a damn thing from no one.” The essence of diligence, those words have been hardwired in to my brain for as long as I can remember. One could argue that lack of supervision handed me super vision, if you will. I grew up on the crime side of every town I had to reside in but that’s just the down side. I never listened to anything if it didn’t sound right. My inspiration came from the truth, not a pound sign. The more you know, the more you grow. I went from Dylan to Dyligent kind of like the holy ghost. From the moment I started rhyming words I knew I had a passion for creativity and connection; those two things have enough power to change the world.

Hip-Hop is my light on the other side, my safe haven for hope. Expression and discussion are the fuel of our ever evolving society and without them the wheels would stop turning. Music is the best kind of therapy! It takes over my mind, body, and spirit almost like we trade places and I become the music for that moment. I fell in love with rap as a young kid when I started writing all kinds of poetry and eventually made the leap, in high school, to fuse my words with rhythm. I am getting ready to release my fourth record on August 11th, ‘Stay Dyligent EP’ is an extended listen of my ‘Feel Me’ record released earlier this year. It has several featured artists including ‘LunchBoxxx’, ‘Wojie’, and the well know group ‘¡MayDay!’, and is most certainly one for the books. This collective was a growing experience, both in life and in music. I’m eager to see where the next few years take me as an artist; 2018 has been a space shuttle thus far. But ya momma always told you to shoot for the stars. The sky is the limit so be who you are. #StayDyligent
