King Gordy Needs A Netflix Documentary *EXCLUSIVE VIDEO*

King Gordy The King Of Van Dyke Needs A Documentary On Netflix

Written By: Sid Jones

King Gordy has been an inspiration to myself and others. Not only is he criminally underrated, his legacy is underappreciated. His controversial music and Rockstar lifestyle alone, would make for a great television series. However, there is more to the Dark Lord Vader than we realize, or even remember. Think back to the film, 8 Mile for example. That alone could be turned into a short behind the scenes shoot.

So, why Netflix? How would King Gordy be the perfect fit for the streaming service? All this and more will be explained. Before we begin, I would like to personally thank all of our readers and sponsors for supporting RoxxxTV. Without you, there is no articles or content. Continue to show your support and we will continue to give you the best of the best. That’s our promise.

It’s What The World Is Watching

Right now, crime documentaries and biopics are extremely popular. Whether it’s Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or in theaters. Everyone is watching this genre. From shows like Rapture to the upcoming City of Lies film. Imagine a story of an artist who went from being a local Detroit artist, becoming an actor in a film, and being on the Devil’s Night Mixtape with D12. That’s just the general beginning and synopsis. That’s just part of the King Gordy story.

Rap and crime seem to go hand in hand. The real life telling of the hardships in the industry. 2pac and Biggie, Suge Knight and 50 Cent. All of these artists have one thing in common: They’ve been on the receiving end of criminal acts, or have been apart of it. King Gordy was the victim of a brutal shooting and lived to tell. What was life like for him after that? Ultimately, he did become a Last American Rock Star with Bizarre. It would be interesting to hear about those mysterious few years.

Netflix Originals are also growing in popularity. People aren’t going to the movies as often and rental stores are going extinct. Netflix is one of the most innovative and creative sources of entertainment. The broad selection in independent and foreign films offer no shortage of content. This is the deciding factor in selecting Netflix for this documentary. King Gordy: A Last American Rockstar. It would also make for a mini series. Possibilities are endless.

The Horses Mouth

A biopic would be an option. However, too much of the extra drama could ruin the story. Much like the backlash from the film, Black Mass. Whitey Bulger’s attorney went after the film, calling it a. “Lie and misinterpretation of the real Whitey Bulger.” With that in mind, it has to be a documentary. The interviews, the raw footage, the interaction with King Gordy would make it more authentic. Hearing what his friends think and sharing their experiences. It would add to the depth and heart of the rap legend.

There’s also the factoring of remakes. When it comes to biopics, there’s always a chance that a fish story would be told. For instance, City of Lies isn’t the first film to portray the Biggie Smalls murder. While the same can be said about documentaries, usually they’re based on updates or different perspectives. Rather than an elaborate cash grab. Besides, who else would play King Gordy? This story needs authenticity, not Emmy Award Winners.

Triumphant Praise

You have a beginning, a middle and an end. In the case of documentaries (especially more recent ones) there’s a twist to the story. A shocking finale that people never expect. In the case of King Gordy, there’s no exception. If you knew what was happening in Gordy’s life after all of the trials, tribulations and hardships, you’d be amazed. Netflix has a history of providing us with such entertainment. While the details of a budget, production etc. remain in question, it stands that this would be well received by audiences.

YouTube Channels would be listing it for an upcoming Netflix Original. Meanwhile, HipHopDx, World Star Hip-Hop, and of course RoxxTV would be reviewing it. The advertising and marketing would be minimal and the payoff would be outstanding and record breaking. Consider in all the factors and details. From King Gordy, to the success of Netflix Originals and documentaries.

Hip-Hop fans would be ranting and raving, critics would be giving their two cents and Netflix would prove why they’re best at making originals. That’s not even factoring in the hardcore, diehard King Gordy and LARS fans. Or even the juggalos. This is a gold mine that would flourish, even more than it already has. The title is perfect and so is the content of the documentary.

It’s up to you, Netflix. You know how to reach us. We know our readers know how to get in touch. The links are down below. So get ready, because King Gordy: A Last American Rockstar is going to be a guaranteed success.
