Mosh Pit: Drake Hangs Out With Hells Angels

Mosh Pit: A New Perspective On The Music Divide

Written By: Sid Jones

Mosh Pit is the newest segment on RoxxxTV. I have been racking my brain on how to bring genres together. Because, we are the new music television. And people have been at war with me, and I’ve been at war with them. But, now I have the solution! And what better way to solve a problem than jumping in the mosh pit?

Before we begin, I have to thank my friend Inquisitor for bringing this idea to me. Because, he sent me the video in which, you are about to see. And while it may be 15 days too late, it is the foundation for this new segment. However, this will get controversial, so get your fingers ready for the comment section below. And join me in the mosh pit!

Decades Of Conflict

We are constantly arguing which genre is alpha. Whether it’s punk, heavy metal, hip hop, or country. What’s more is we fight and defend our genre. As if, it’s our claim, our right of passage to speak on it. And this is where the water gets murky. People in the hip hop community say, “Punk died from a heroin overdose in (insert year here) and I retaliate with, “hip hop is a repeat victim of violence and gun shot wounds.” Now, don’t get me wrong. I love both. But, what I can’t stand is the genre that’s in my blood mocked and ridiculed by someone who’s ignorant to it.

There’s a documentary series that chimes in on the metal and punk feud as well. And it’s called the Decline of Western Civilization. But, there’s another documentary that actually offers evidence that punk paved the way and helped hip hop flourish. And that film is titled Punk: Attitude.

Watch those on your own time. Because, this is the weekly Mosh Pit. Where I pick the subjects and allow people from all genres t0 speak on it! So, share this with your friends!

This Week’s Topic

However, the video that was sent to me that you’re about to see may give you a change of heart. Well, unless you’re a small minded individual. But, don’t lecture me on music after reading this. Take a look at this video before continuing on:

See, in hip hop they use to talk about fighting “the man.” And, in punk rock, they fight “the system.” So, does this not offer some sort of evidence that we’re on the same side? If you watched the video, the example they used is their hate for the cops. In which, could be the reason they’re hanging out? Or, is it for protection? Either way, this opens up something for discussion. My friend that suggested this story, is a metal head from England. The message read:

“Like I and you have been saying, there is a crossover between metal and rap. And us, metal heads dig what some of these rappers are about.”

Perhaps maybe, not all metal heads are the same. Shocker!
