Horrorcore Icon Mars Gives The Music Industry ‘Medication’
The iconic Bay Area artist is back with a brand new single! Mars continues to thrive and evolve this summer. And it’s a promising year for him. With his singles he put out already, it’s safe to say this man will prove horrorcore can play well in the mainstream. And that brings hope to the underground as a whole.
Five releases later, he’s crossing barriers and creating a shift in the paradigm of music. Everything we think we know about the music scene is changing. And he is at the helm of this innovative strategy. The newest single ‘Medication’ is produced by Westside Rell of Diesel Beatz. And he’s best known for his extensive work with artists such as, JL Hood, Stevie Stone, and Joey Cool.
“When Rell sent over a folder of beats to check out, this was like the first one I heard. I knew I had to have it. This is exactly what everyone wants to hear me on.”

Medication will be available to everyone everywhere tomorrow! And that’s not all! Mars has more projects to come including, his upcoming collaborative album with international hardcore superstar Danny Diablo “Devils And Demons.” And “Locked Up A Broad” LP both dropping on Force 5 Records along with a project produced by Bvne called the “Murder EP”. 2019 marks the year of Mars hustle that has garnered his legendary status in the scene.
“Mars is a cool dude and super creative. He made a hit out of this track in under a week.” says Rell. The track was given to Pop Jensen who works out of The Green Room in Fresno, CA for mixing and editing. “A long time friend of mine from High School suggested I use his buddy to mix this track. I sent it right away. I got it back the same night and it blew my mind. Once Pop Jensen touched this I had no doubt in my mind that people would love it. There’s so much detail.”
