Artists Doing More For Flint Than Governnor Whitmer

Artists In Flint Fight The Water Crisis, Governor Ignores It

Written By: Sid Jones

Sunday, September 8th 2019 will forever go down in Michigan history. And that’s all thanks to Bootleg working alongside the mayor and Project Born alongside the Dayton Family. They are fighting the Flint water crisis united and strong. In 2014, the drinking water source for the city switches from Lake Huron and the Detroit River to a less costly source of the Flint river. And that’s when the crisis began. As you all know, there is lead in the water of Flint, Michigan. And in 2019, the crisis continues.

So, what is the East Lansing Democrat doing about this? Nothing. In fact, her priority right now is banning the use of vapes. Yes, you’re reading that right.

“As governor, my number one priority is keeping our kids safe.” Whitmer says. And I’m here to tell you that if she really cares about the kids, she will turn her focus to much bigger issues, rather than abusing her power. Simply put, she’s a fascist that wants to control the free market and the people’s ability to choose what they purchase.

“Right now, companies selling vaping products are using candy flavors to hook children on nicotine and misleading claims to promote the belief that these products are safe.” Whitmer continues, “That ends today. Our kids deserve leaders who are going to fight to protect them.”

Never Mind The Flint Water Crisis I guess?

Not entirely. And thanks to Bootleg and working with the mayor and Project Born with The Dayton Family, they are continuing to fight for the people of Flint. Which means, these hip-hop artists are doing more for their city than an elected official. In fact, thanks to “new evidence” they need more time to review the case. Who’s they you ask? Michigan Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

Time is running out to charge public officials for their roles in the Flint water crisis. And they need more time after six years? The people of Flint don’t have another six years to wait on a solution, or justice to be served. Every elected official in the state of Michigan needs to put the people first. But we elected them already so they really won’t care until 2020 when they make it part of their pandering and catering spiel.

What’s more, prosecutors dropped all criminal charges on June 13th, 2019. Eight people involved in the Flint water crisis are free to go. Because why? The prosecutors pledge to “start from scratch.” This is one of the worst man-made environmental disasters in U.S. history.

“Let’s put thousands of people out of work and shut down hundreds of vape shops before doing anything about the crisis!” And that’s exactly what Whitmer is stating.

Bootleg, Project Born and The Dayton Family are working with the mayor to fix a disaster. Yet, the governor is focused on vaping. So, leave it to the people to fix this? Guess what? We’re doing it without the men in the suits!

Call To Action

I am urging that everyone joins The Dayton Family, Project Born, and RoxxxTV Sunday, September 8th at noon. And let’s fight this crisis and show Whitmer that her services are no longer required. We need artists to join us in this fight for the people of Flint and more importantly, make an example out of these corrupt politicians; Put the people first. There are kids suffering and they need us now more than ever.

And if you can’t be there, tune in to our videos and livestreams from the event. And tweet it all to Whitmer and other politicians in Michigan:

Gov. Whitmer: @govwhitmer

GOP Senators: @misenate

Gary Peters: @SenGaryPeters

Let us fight the good fight. Together!
