Kung Fu Vampire ‘Come Dawn’ Album Tour And More!

Kung Fu Vampire Dominates With ‘Come Dawn’

Written By: Sid Jones

Kung Fu Vampire is constantly evolving and experimenting when it comes to his music. I remember when I first saw him back in 2011 in Chico, CA. And years later, I’m standing in the Palladium next to him in Worcester, MA at the Mighty Death Pop show. Clearly this man continues to make an impact on the underground scene. Which comes as no surprise to day one fans such as myself. While most tend to notice his change in attire, I’m noticing a development in everything he does, while staying true to his roots. And I have nothing but the upmost respect for that as well.

Over the years, Kung Fu Vampire has made music with Gorilla Voltage, Mars, and other underground artists. In my opinion, this is some of his best work. To this day, one of my all time favorite songs is Blade featuring Mr. Grey and if you haven’t heard it, you’re missing out. Unlike most artists, Kung Fu Vampire can work with anyone and his collaborations truly raise the bar.

Clearly we are here to discuss Come Dawn and the new music from the vampire of the underground. So, without further ado, lets get into the top three songs, the tour dates and more!

But first, check out this pre-release interview with Faygoluvers just to give you a glimpse into what you can expect!

Hologram

This is probably one of the most popular songs on the album. And how can you not love it? This track features Mars, Bukshot, C-Mob, Dikulz, K Daver and The Jokerr. It’s got a new school feel to it with bars and substance. This is probably one of my top favorite tracks on the album. Each artist delivers punches without letting up. Nonetheless, the album is diverse as a whole and this song reminds us that Kung Fu Vampire pushes boundaries and surpasses expectation. And he brings others with him.

The King

Electronica meets hip hop in a track that blows people’s mind. Let me clear, this is a song I usually pass up on. Despite the EDM sound, Gorilla Voltage gives us some of their best verses. Clockworc, Mr. Grey and Kung Fu Vampire have a chemistry in every song they do together. However, this seems to be new territory for the three. And they truly dominate in The King. My second favorite on the album.

Baddies

This song is one that truly takes me out of my comfort zone as a listener. Anyone who knows me understands that I’m picky with music and I will usually listen to the same fifteen songs every day. Nonetheless, I actually enjoyed the lyrics and the beat of this song. Even though this album is like a completely different genre to me, Kung Fu Vampire is stating, “I’m going to give my listeners something new to listen to.” Andin that creative process, he’s bringing us on a journey and breaking into the mainstream. The numbers don’t lie! Debuting at #18 on the iTunes Hip Hop Charts!
