GG Allin Biopic Rumors What You Need To Know

GG Allin Fans Want A Biopic! But Will It Actually Happen?
GG Allin fans have been talking about a biopic for a long time. And satire websites such as the Hardest Times continue to give fans false hope. However, there are beacons of light when it comes to the possibility of this film seeing the silver screen (or maybe your mobile devices) and there are factors to consider. In addition to looking at the history people may not know, we are going to investigate further into why people are suddenly demanding this biopic to happen.
First, lets examine the new Joker film and its director. Todd Phillips is the director of the 2019 film Joker, which comes out today. And according to Slate, if you really want to understand the Joker film, you have to watch the director’s documentary on GG Allin. To sum up this well written article, its basically Todd explaining his reasons for being to Allin and the impact he made throughout his life. “Make no mistake about it, behind what he does is a brain.”
Undoubtedly one of the reasons to sir the talks of a GG biopic is the link between the Hated: GG Allin & The Murder Junkies film and the Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. But also take into consideration the satire news sites spewing false information. And I get it that’s their job and I have my issues with satire websites in the modern age. Especially when it comes to the Brown Valley Observer.

This satire website put out an article that Charles In Charge star, Scott Baio “has been seen on the set of a VH1 film. And that he will be starring as the complex GG Allin. And when you click on the Brown Valley Observer article, you’ll see a mixed reaction in the comments section.
Will We Ever See This Biopic?
Despite all of the “fake news” and false hope, we need to consider a few things. First and foremost, do we need a GG Allin biopic? Especially with all of the documentaries, interviews, clips and footage that’s available? For die hard fans, they may have already seen everything about this man. On the other hand, there is a good chance that a biopic is necessary and not to the fans, but to the mainstream audiences.
Sure, maybe people will refuse to see it. But maybe they’re more willing to watch it if someone like Todd Phillips or even Roger Grossman, director of What We Do Is Secret made the film. If its casted correctly and someone with merit is at the helm of the project, that will only help peak the curiosity of the general public.
The question remains, will we ever see the film? To be completely honest, I’m not sure. There are so many movies in pre-production that haven’t even seen the light of day. Whatever happened to the H.H Holmes biopic film starring Leonardo DiCaprio? People were excited and I was one of them and no news or updates have been released since.
Final Thoughts
I’m a firm believer in not judging something if you’re ignorant to it. GG Allin is just one example. But then you have people in their 20s and 30s that still think Sid Vicious murdered Nancy Spungen. When in actuality, he was dead before he even saw a trial. So, do I think a biopic is necessary? In short, yes. I most certainly do. Even though there are tons of documentaries, including the newest arrival, the Allins. People are too intimidated to actually witness the life of GG. Maybe if its an actor playing the roll, they’ll be more opened to watching. However, there are some people that would probably boycott the director and actor for making such a movie.
It is 2019, and I think we need a little GG Allin in our lives. So, I will leave you with this video. You can watch it, or not. I suggest before you fire off in the comments, you educate yourself first.
