Kdaver Provides Listeners With Substance
Kdaver is the kind of artist that focuses on content and meaningful messages. And fans respond with welcoming ears. Unlike most of the music we are constantly exposed to, Kdaver brings substance to hip hop. In order for this east coast rapper to bring honor to the scene, he listens to his fans. While his music is a reflection of his life (Rotten Robbie Complex) its obvious listeners take priority.
Whenever I’m looking for something good to listen to, I focus on lyrical content and delivery. Due to my picky nature, I find it difficult to listen to modern hip hop. Army Of The Pharaohs, Jedi Mind Tricks and similar artists are usually my go to. And in my honest opinion, I think Kdaver falls in line with this style preference. Case in point They Don’t Want None!
Not to mention his work with other artists. As well as his work with Kinetik, he’s collaborated with Ill Bill, King Gordy and many others. In fact, my favorite Kdaver albums We The People and Black Angels White Devils contain A list features. And they happen to have some of my favorite songs to listen to. Not only because of the features, but because of the anti establishment messages throughout the albums. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good heartfelt track that I can connect with. But anti government tracks are the keys to my ears.
Final Thoughts
Again, I like Kdaver’s new music. In fact, many would argue that he only gets better with age. Hence the title of his newest album. Better With Age is layered with songs of growth and evolving. Not just as an artist, but as a man. Kdaver discusses growing from being on the road and every day struggles.
To summarize Kdaver and his music, you never know what to expect. For the most part its about the fans. The rest of his content and lyrics are dedicated to his fans and new listeners. After all that’s what its about! This isn’t a gimmick, or pandering. And I remember him saying this on the Abominationz second leg tour. Notably one of the craziest nights of my life. But it’s Kdaver’s stage performance that truly stands out.
