Countercultures: Society Endorses Violence Against Us

Countercultures And Why Society Hates Us
Written By: Sid Jones
Countercultures as a whole are constantly treated like criminals or simply deemed ignorant by society. But why? Well as you’re about to read, there is actually a conspiracy against us. And its not just the media or government agencies. Its the general public and the way they treat us. For example, Brian Deneke and how his murder is viewed by the majority. And believe me I can go all the way back to the golden age of piracy.

Because the truth is, society will always have an issue with countercultures and part of their philosophy is to publicly shame them.
In addition, the ones that fall in line tend to continue the infectious lies by passing them down to the next generation. This is mostly found in political and religious households. For example parents sitting their child down explaining why they are not allowed to listen to Marilyn Manson or violent rap music. Without having any knowledge in psychology, they tell their kids that the music will make you “evil.” Certainly this is why Fox News put the blame on Marilyn Manson and the Insane Clown Posse for school shootings.
History Of The Majority
Before we continue, I want to go back to the Brian Deneke murder. He is run down in the parking lot of a shopping center by Dustin Camp. And Camp was a seventeen year old junior varsity football player driving a 1983 Cadillac. He was sentenced to 10 years probation. Now, if it was the other way around and this punk rocker ran down Dustin Camp he’d be on death row. Again, this is just one piece of evidence that society not only demonizes countercultures. They encourage others to cause harm to us.
Now, what can we take away from this? Well, there’s nothing much we can do. Except educate and explain to the next generation that their parents are ignorant. Eventually, they’re going to be in school. And guess who’s going to continue the bullying and the hazing? The children of the overly religious and pets of society. In other words, our children whom we teach to question authority and to be themselves will be victims of bullying. But if you think the school system will prevent this from happening, you’re not paying attention.
Especially when their kids see yours wearing a vest with studs or a Cannibal Corpse shirt. These jocks, cheerleaders and popular kids will not be kind or understanding. And that’s because society wants them to be ridiculed and made an example of.
Media Control
As far as the television in your room. And you can turn it on see for yourself when it comes to “productive members of society” they are in fact, protected. For example, if a cop murders someone in the streets, they are constantly being backed by Fox News. Society endorses the actions of causing harm to someone who is outside the norm. But if one of their own is found to be under scrutiny, they are protected. For fear that the truth about their motives are revealed to people like us.
Why do you think you need a permit to protest? And why do you think “freedom of speech” comes with consequences? Again, its to make sure those that stand outside the circle are made examples of. So, why do we let this go on? If you pay attention to advertisements, they are patronizing and condescending consumers. Because when you break it down, the majority is in fact ignorant.
Not to mention, they are constantly living in fear. In order to keep society under mass control, the media does three things. First, they scare you so you can depend on them for answers. Next, they have you live with uncertainty. Lastly, they spoon-feed you doubt. On the other hand, countercultures are privy to this. And that’s another reason society hates us.
Silence Is Compliance

In order to allow this to go on, society needs us to be silent. Whenever a kid is bullied in school, they make an attempt to suspend him or her. And not the bullies. But the reasoning for this is simple. Suspend eight kids and you have to admit there’s a problem within the school.
And society doesn’t take kindly to accountability. Instead, they like to play the blame game. As long as it is not one of theirs. For example, a football player with a “bright future ahead of him.” Or maybe a cheerleader who “has a bright future ahead of her.” So, they go ahead and get rid of the “problem child” who is a victim of society and its abuse.

Regardless, they must continue to maintain their image. And somehow protect the futures of their prized children. Even though, it could be at the mercy of someone who “looks different.” Now, if you don’t believe me let’s look at how society operates with their unsaid rules. There is something called parent/teacher conferences and this is exactly how everyone remains on the same page. In order to complete the cycle, your living situation must correspond with the way the school does things.
Fast forward to today. And you will see your place of work is no different than that of high school. You still have your workplace drama, gossip circles and the same reward systems we have in elementary school. Now, put that in your mind for a second. You are treated the same way a kid in kindergarten is treated. I hope you are proud of youself.
How Do We Combat Society?

Part of being in a counterculture is to think outside the society that makes us. And that’s why I love punk rock so much because it talks about the truth. Granted, society may want us to react because it would only prove their point. However, this is why we must combat the majority with truth. And yeah I’m sure they’ll deny it. And that’s fine but at least we can teach our kids to fight back and to not tolerate the way schools treat us.
Being a kid wasn’t easy for me. And I’ve said this on numerous occasions that being in school sucked since day care. Until ninth grade when I began seeing the truth and that I don’t have to put up with it. And that is mostly because of punk rock music. Mostly bands like Dropkick Murphys, The Briggs, Sex Pistols, and of course Against All Authoriy.
And I tell people this all the time, “I am who I am because I finally had the right education.” Because it is important to constantly question things. In fact, my senior quote for my year book was, “The most important thing is not to stop questioning.”
As a result, I’m still the same person. And nothing will change that. Granted, I sometimes forget and I do have a history of briefly conforming and complying. Under those circumstances, there is still some internal conflict. But the important thing is, I refuse to become that person again. And that is how we combat society.
It Really Is A Class War

I know I mostly focus on the punk scene. And to be completely honest, most of the punks online hate my guts. And I take great pride in that. In fact, I prefer it. Because how fucking punk rock is that? When the MAJORITY of punks cannot stand you, you’re doing something right. But what about other countercultures? Well when you like at Jam Master J, Tupac Shakur, and Biggie Smalls their murders are still unsolved. And that’s because society as a whole refer to them as “gangbangers.” Because their music spoke to those that society detested. Seriously think about that for a moment. Think back to the early 90’s and what the majority’s mindset is.
Now, do you really see the forest for the trees? What do these three men have in common? More importantly, what they became; Successful. Remember when Eminem blew up? And what do these people always say? “I grew up poor, hated in school, dropped out, society hates me..” And when success was on the rise, Fox News, 60 Minutes, etc. They pull his mom and wife on television in front of millions of viewers to bash his music and him as a person.
“Don’t be like him.” Is a common phrase when someone is on the television. “He’s a bad person.” And religious people cry out, “Sinner!” Or in the case of Tupac, “He’s a rapist gangbanging criminal.” These people judge, ridicule and mock those that are different.
But if you don’t believe me, look at how the government and the media lay in bed together. They’re not only cut from the same cloth. But also they’re birthing thoughts to plant in the brains of the easily manipulated.
Criminalizing Countercultures

Obviously, there is a lot to digest in this article. And yeah, I’m pissed. Because its not just the media pointing their cameras at us in negative light. In fact, society is telling people its okay to gun us down in the streets or run us down in their dad’s Cadillac. Eminem became socially acceptable because his music caters to the general public. And that means he’s no longer a threat to society.
So, if society doesn’t understand something, you become a threat to their way of life. For instance, look at the juggalos. People don’t understand the hatchetman or why they wear facepaint and what did they do? Well, they endure public hatred and get put on a gang list.
And that goes for biker clubs too. Because society doesn’t understand why they wear a three-piece patch, they also suffer the same fate. Shows like Gangland offer false information about stupid things like the meaning of the number 13. Again, when it comes to countercultures, society wants us eradicated.
And that’s not even the tip of the iceberg. In fact, this war on counterculture continues and they combat it with mumble rap and daytime television. Real Housewives, Fox News, CNN, and soap operas. They are all for the same cause; Keep the general public stupid and feed them garbage. But countercultures don’t consume from the dog dish of society. In fact, we see the truth.
What Can We Do To Stop The onslaught?
As a result of society’s anger, hatred and violence towards us as a whole, how do we respond? Well, we can do what we’re doing now and allow this to continue by shaming and combatting each other. Or, we could join forces and fight back. Personally, I think it would be beneficial to show the world what they turned us into. Before things get worse, I suggest we put our differences aside and go head to head with the rest of the world. Instead of teaching our kids, “The bigger person walks away from a fight.” Perhaps, we should consider telling them, “Don’t start the fight but make damn sure you finish it.”
As a result, our kids will grow up with some dignity and fortitude. Hell, maybe even a little self-respect. Society doesn’t care about us and that’s how we all ended up where we are now. How did countercultures even become something? Because its like-minded individuals that decide to accept the fact society doesn’t like us. So, they create their own society and break away from social norms. And in turn, this creates friction and propagates violence. So, we can either consent to this, or we can stand up and say, “Not without a fight.” The choice is ours. Because they are already made the decision to deem us the enemy. The question is, what are we going to do about it?
Here’s a perfect example of how the government is trying to kill us.
