Sitting down with Detroit’s Izz2Nice from West 7 Mile
As always, ROX-TV enjoys chopping it up with local artists. I recently had a chance to speak with Izz2Nice from Detroit (West 7 Mile) and talk to him about his music, a little quick flip into his background, and the music festival he will be performing at on April 10th. So lets get to it…
Can you introduce the ROX-TV website readers to Izz2Nice?

I’m a big fan of music, and I enjoy things from across the spectrum. As an artist yourself, I have to ask….at what point in your life did music really become a major factor? It can be different for a lot of people and can have many factors.
Music became a major factor in my life when I was 13 I started off freestyling with my older brother and battle rapping in my second oldest brother studio/ trap house where he sold drugs and produced beats at.
What were some of your biggest influences as far as what helped shape who you are today as an artist? Music, hometown, anything as long as it was important to you.
I was influenced by so many rappers like Master P, 2Pac, Biggie, Eminem, D12, Esham Natas, 3 Six Mafia, Street Lordz, Tech N9NE, Bone Thugs, ICP, Big L , DMX, Cassidy… just too many to name.
Once you decided that music was going to be a path you were willing to move on, how long before you started to get serious about it?
When I was 18 after my brother went to prison for selling drugs
I understand that you have a big show coming up in April called the independent artists music festival. Can you tell me a little bit about the festival and who we can expect to see perform with you?
It’s a festival about independent artist on they grind making moves this whole line up is dope from Big Herk to Neisha Neshae to KDT this whole show is dope. Me and my homie Ace Solow going be performing a song and shout out to Killaz Don’t Talk that’s the fam right there.
How do you first get involved with the festival?
I just got a call asking me to perform and I was like hell yeah.
What does 2021 hold for you as an artist, beyond the I.A.M.F. in April? Any new releases or songs the ROX-TV readers should be looking for you to drop? If so can you tell us a little bit about that?
I’m dropping a album this year titled dinning with Jeffrey Dahmer and I’m doing features with other artists as well.
How do you feel about the music underground in Michigan today? With a long history of wicked shit coming out of the Murder Mitten, who are some of the people that you look up to or at….as a peer and fellow artist?
I love it I support all my Michigan artist no matter the genres from horrorcore to emo trap I support it 100 percent the wicket shit will never die I always looked up to King Gordy and Big Herk since high school.
What are you listening to when you’re not in the studio or doing shows? Who’s rocking your stereo tonight?
Michael Jackson, Prince, Tech N9NE, Eminem, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, a lot of old school, r&b, and hip hop too much to name lol.
