Brand new video drop for “ALL I DO IZ HUSTLE” by Max Julian and Ashei Khan. ROX-TV speaks with the movie and video director.

I’m happy to announce that a brand new video has just dropped for the banger “ALL I DO IZ HUSTLE” by Max Julian and Ashei Khan. The director of the visual fire is The Guerrilla King aka Ashei Khan. The song is off the “Grand Theft Auto: Murder City” album by the late Max Julian, which was brought to life by friends of Max after his death. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy are highly suspicious to say the least and for the supporters of Max Julian, the issue is far from over.

Tre LB with the late Max Julian. Get a copy of the album today.

ROX-TV is dedicated to keeping the memory of Max Julian alive and is planning a three part series featuring the life, times, and music of the late Detroit Icon. In the upcoming series we will re-examine the tragedy and speak with people who knew and loved Max. We will also be examining the “The Shack” and the role it played in the horrible conclusion to Max’s life.

I spoke with Ashei this morning and here’s what he had to say in regard to the amazing video:

Grand Theft Auto: Murder City is a banger from start to finish. Check out the video and movie today. Directed and Produced by Ashei Khan.

“It took me a long time to get to it because I’m so close to the project. Coming the movie in a month and getting it out took a lot out of me. It was an uphill battle the entire time… but I knew it was the right thing to do despite everyone’s emotions running high at the time. I grabbed Tre and we forged forward to getting the GTA: Murder City Mixtape done. But the movie got a wall of resistance”.

“We put the movie out and The health department was said to come shut Bob down even though it looks like he’s still operating from there. I’m not done. I’m going to blanket the area with flyers and posters. I just had to regroup. With Max’s birthday coming up. I wanted to do something special. I sat my ass down and cranked out that first version of the video”.

“I’m looking to take the song billboards and make the movie a real live fan favorite. It’s the first real Character GTA movie in existence‼️ Now with the trailer and the video, I’m going to pull some models and go gorilla on the promo. Forcing this down their throats”.

“It has the entire death part laid out for all to see. I took all of the lore surrounding the situation and it culminated in that movie”.

The album is great and the song “ALL I DO IZ HUSTLE” is currently my favorite track, but I suppose that can always change. Tre LB hooked me up with a copy of the album a few weeks ago when I was there on assignment for the ROX-TV website. I thought the album artwork was fire and couldn’t wait to get into the sounds. Over the next two weeks, I let the album roll from start to finish. Often times when I was bumping this track, I was cruising through Detroit City, going to or from a ROX-TV project.

There is nothing more surreal than ripping down the Detroit freeways at night, with the Ambassador Bridge lit up against a dark sky, listening to this track. Hearing the voices of these city streets with that haunting beat sends chills down my spine. The very essence of Detroit playing in my ears, the glorious city laid out before my eyes, rolling with the windows down, taking it in for all time.

For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. To hear artists from the city, rapping about the city, and to be in that city is like a trinity that pierces the soul. Pushing ninety mph on the highway just because I can, the wind roaring through the windows, the bass thumping…..in that moment I’m buzzing with the vibrational harmony.

For those that are unfamiliar with Max Julian and his music, please do yourself a favor and track down a copy of the album today. The same goes for Ashei Khan and his amazing movies. We have to support our local Icons and celebrate our own champions. Until the world catches up with the amazing underground scene that has been burning in Detroit for over thirty years, we must keep the fire going. One day, the greatness will be recognized but until then, it’s our story to tell. So fucking tell it….often and loudly.
