This weekend Chicano Fest is going down at the Squeeze Station. ROX-TV will be on hand covering the festivities. Don’t miss your chance.
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. We appreciate all the returning readers and welcome any one stopping by for the first time. If you haven’t already heard, this weekend is really going to set off the fall season in Michigan. How is that you may wonder? Well, I have two words for you: Chicano Fest! That’s right, you heard it here first. All the action is going down at the Squeeze Station (6716 Michigan Avenue, Detroit) this Saturday. The event kicks off at noon and is scheduled to run until midnight, although I doubt the party will end there.

There are going to be lots of vendors, selling unique and exciting items. There is going to be a shit load of great artists performing music. The Squeeze Station will be cranking out delicious items to drink and consume during the duration. And all you have to do is get off the couch, hit the road, and visit the scene in person. You do not want to miss this event, I promise you that.
Among the many performers, I have been told that the homie HEXXX is flying in from Los Angeles to perform his West Coast Wicked Shit! He is coming off a fresh appearance at the Gathering of the Juggalos 21 in Ohio and his set is sure to catch the area on fire. I caught his performance at the Clown Drip stage and it was a banger. No one in the game is doing it quite like this cat and if you miss it, you will be sorry.

ROX-TV will be on hand, covering the event all day proper. You will be able to read about the event on Monday after the fact, but be warned, an article can only capture so much. To really take in the full experience, you need to come on down and see it for yourselves.
The dynamite crew from Cruisin The Barrio will also be on hand to meet and greet fans, and add to the festive environment. The one and only Rude Boy and his second in command, DJ Carlito will be repping CRB to the fullest. I’ve been to the Squeeze Station a few months back when DJ Carlito was rocking the sounds and it was great time.
This is going to be a great day for the community, so come out and celebrate with your neighbors, friends, and perfect strangers. I’ve been told that earlier in the day, there will be some activities for kids, but at 4:00pm or so, the Chicano Fest will shift gears, and the smoke will rise from the streets, so parents keep that in mind and try to have the little ones at Grandma’s house before the “420 friendly” day really gets into overdrive.
There isn’t much more I can say about this event other than its vital to get out and support it. We’ve spent the better part of what seems like two years locked down, or isolated. Now is the time to reclaim your right to get together and have some fun, the way we used to. I don’t think I’m going on a limb when I say, we could all use a big night out. The Chicano Fest is your vehicle baby, so use it and lets all get loose. Be there or be a damn square, it’s up to you.
Signing Off,
