KDT stops into ROX-TV to chop it up about their music, moves, shows, and more

Welcome back to ROX-TV. I’ve been on a short term vacation to Brighton for twelve days if you know what I’m saying, but they fucked up and sprung me. With freedom comes my responsibility to keep reppin the music of the Murder Mitten and beyond, so that’s what I’m going to do. Thanks to everyone who understands, it means a lot to me. So here we are, it’s another fabulous night in Michigan, with the Harvest Fest close at hand. Tonight we got a few things cooking so without further to do, lets rock it up and see what shakes out. Tonight we are kicking back with KDT. I just caught these homies at the “Stranger After Dark” show at Simon’s a couple of weeks ago. They put on a great set and I spoke with them about doing an article. So here it is homies.

Welcome to the ROX-TV lab, before we get into the interview can you let the readers and fans know where KDT is repping tonight?

Downriver Detroit..

I’d like to talk about your new upcoming release and your most recent show at Simon’s After Dark, but before we get into that I would like to give the readers and people just getting turned onto your music a chance to get a deeper understanding of who KDT is. How exactly did KDT form up? Can you talk about the early days of the group?

Butcher was stuck at studio wit Spice1 with no ride home…Joe swooped him and came by every day till Butcher said if u keep hangin ya gonna have to jump on a track. Then Joe thought of the name KillazDontTalk and Ken and Joe formed KDT.

Can you talk about the current lineup for the first time readers? What is the roster looking like?

The 3rd member has been temporary for multiple albums……currently its Smokin Joe,The Mad Butcher, Dmenace and William Alexander…

For the readers just getting turned onto your music, where can fans go to catch up on what KDT already has out there? Where can they purchase your music or support the group?

We have released nine albums so far. They are all available for sale. Everything is available on digital except the first two albums, which were exclusively on CD.

I recently was lucky enough to catch the KDT set at the “Stranger After Dark” show at Simon’s. KDT shared the stage with Daniel Jordan, Dice, Doc Hollywood Hustle, and many others. How did that opportunity to perform come about? Can you talk about that performance and what it was like to be on stage again after America has been in pandemic bullshit mode for so long. How did if feel to be back onstage again?

It felt great 2 rock the stage again. We’ve done plenty shows wit Dice, Doc, Poe and them…it was honor 2 rock it wit Daniel Jordan.

I know KDT is getting ready to drop “Pop Kulture Acid Bath” real soon. I’ve had a chance to review the album and I’m really digging the release. How long did it take to put together the album? What do you think the fans will take away from this release?

This album was accumulated over a year ago….we make so many tracks by the time we have picked enough trax to make an album believe me there’s enough for 2 more at least.

Is KDT planning on doing any more shows in the near future? Or is it back to the lab to keep on creating music?

As many shows as possible. We will be at Simon’s After Dark on November 26th with DJ Dankish. We have enough trax 2 release 3 more albums after this one if we were to suddenly stop today.

What is one thing that the fans and readers need to know about KDT and their music?

Our music is violent…loud…wicked…and underground…

What is the concept behind the name “KDT Killaz Don’t Talk”?

Shhhhh Talk 2 my lawyer

What is the preferred strain of smoke for the members of KDT? Method of intake?

Joints of medical, Raw papers

What is one of the most memorable moments KDT has as far as an artist you’ve gotten to work with or show?

Probably doing shows like Esham and etc. There’s always a certain nostalgia that gets our blood flowing when we get to perform in front of a crowd we definitely love doing it for the fans and anyone who likes to take time to listen to our music.

What is one piece of advice KDT has for anyone trying to get into the underground rap game?

Make a solid brand and product. Believe and focus in your product. And always keep pushing till they hear you.

Before we get out of here, I like to give the artists a chance to shout out anyone they want. Who is KDT shouting out tonight?

Shout outs….We would like to give a shout out to all of our killaz, all of the past and present members of our group KDT. Shout out to all the people who give us positive words.

And a multitude of artists we’ve worked with like Project Born, Bootleg, Ghetto E, Mastamind, Dice, Kung Fu Vampire, Spice 1 ,Stretch ,Money, Skitzo, Esham, and definitely going to shout out Dirrty B, Izzy 2nice, and jhorror.

And anyone I missed we still love you the same. And just know we definitely do this for the fans we love y’all thank you for the support.

Thanks to KDT for stopping into ROX-TV to break it up. I’m back and so is some new content. Get ready for a steady stream of consciousness. Until next time friends….
