ROX-TV reviews HEXXX’s new video for “The Devil’s in the Skills”. HEXXX has been on fire for 2021 and shows no signs of slowing.
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. As always I appreciate everyone who has taken the time out of their busy days to stop by for a spell. I’ve been on the move, looking for all the best shit to bring back to the readers and as usual, I’ve found some Grade “A” dope for you. At ROX-TV we like to do different things, but one of my favorites is reviewing artist’s work for that mass consumption.
As always, the review portion is a little different than the interview segments, so I will explain. We enjoy giving independent artists a place to be seen and heard…maybe even get inside the artist’s head. We like to pull the curtain back a bit, and deliver interviews that go beyond the standard format. The reviews are different though because we take a deeper look at the “product” being delivered and offer some opinions from our perspective.
Tonight we will be doing a “review” of the latest video drop by HEXXX. The track is called “The Devil’s in the Skills” and it premiered on YouTube a few weeks ago. I would have got to it sooner, but I was on a vacation towards the end of the month, so shit got backed up like a toilet at a trucker stop. Well, I’m back and fully functional once again, so I’m tackling the content head on. So without further to do, lets run the tape and analyze another fire track from HEXXX….
“The Devil’s in the Skills”
Premiered: October 22nd, 2021
Location: Los Angeles, California
Run Time: 2 minutes, 58 seconds
Production: A Night One and NewEnglandBoy Production
Appearances: Lowrider Events, @TheRealMeano, @72Topless, Muscles Maniac’s Car Club, OG Mino from WestEnd Car Club
The track immediately jumps out of the gate with such a mean bounce that it literally shakes the walls. HEXXX wastes no time, not a second, in bringing his West Coast Wicked Shit (W.C.W.S.) right to your dome. Within eight seconds of the bell ringing, the fight is on. There are cars mashin’ it, guns out the window, dope in the air, and you know…eight seconds in, that the ride is going to be some serious Cali riding music.
For those of you who know me, I was once a Graf-Writer and did my fair share of wall writing so I was happy to see some proper train graffiti thrown in. Within twenty seconds of the video booming, we got cars hittin’ switches. And then, HEXXX arrives with a verbal bombardment. That dope Cali-Swagger perfectly combined with that West Coast Wicked Shit to form a killer strain for your brain.

The beat continues to punch holes in the wall and the lyrics rip bye like a steam locomotive…continually building up the energy. This shit is riding music….this shit is fighting music….perfect for a mission. If they bumped this jam in a tank, the enemy would be fucked and cease to exist. There is also great cinematography shots in almost every scene. From the cars, to the trains, to the city skyline. The production is amazing.
If the track and video ended at the 45th second, it would still stand alone as a bad MFER. This is true without putting spin or opinion on that. Good is simply fucking Good, and what we have here is a Good track and video. HEXXX has a great delivery, his lyrics are right and done correctly, and no one can deny the overall package. All this cat needs is some exposure and he’s going to blow like Pompeii did in 79AD when Vesuvius finally had enough.

HEXXX is polished and ready to hit the bricks. There is no more pre-fab needed, no extra touches, no bells and whistles. This cat is ready for war and he has honed his craft into a verbal killing machine.
Beyond that, I’ve seen him perform live at the Gathering of the Juggalos 21 and he doesn’t fuck around on stage either. He is serious energy at every turn. One of the most high energy guys on the stage, much like watching Ouija Macc in person.
I know I said it before in a review for Ouija’s latest drop, but to me, these guys are the future and they are here today. Sleep on it all you want, just don’t be mad when the ride passes you bye.
The track keeps right on mashing it, all the way till the very end at the 2:58 mark. This song is a fire starter and one that I would bump before hitting the city after sun down. So yeah….I think the song is the shit and the video as well. Top shelf entertainment and I think the competition has got to be worried at this point. My money is on the West Coast Wicked Shit!
Findings: This mean ass Cali Supreme gets a 5-Star rating from ROX-TV based upon the brand new scale I just thought up. Put it down on HEXXX’s permanent record, five stars and well earned at that.

Me: Can you give the ROX-TV readers a little insight into the video?
HEXXX: “We shot that video over the summer. Took zero money to make. All homies and mutual respect made that video happen”.
Me: How long did the filming take?
HEXXX: “We shot it on two different days, a month a part”.
Me: Final take on the video?
HEXXX: “Got shit done, made magic happen. No green screens, no budgets…just raw talent and respect”.
