ROX-TV catches up with Idzilleagle and talks to him about “Ghosts of Detroit Underground” and the new album drop “Distribution by Proxy” set for release this month
I’d like to thank all the returning readers, who have taken time out of their day to cut it up with ROX-TV tonight. I’ve got another nice piece on the Michigan Underground tonight and I’d like to welcome Idzilleagle back to the lab for a few words about his latest drop, coming towards the end of this month. As you may have known, we featured Idzilleagle on the ROX-TV “Artist 5 Series” a few months back (link listed below). We always enjoy kicking it around with Idzilleagle and welcome him back once again. So without further to do, lets jump into this interview and get cracking…
Welcome back to the ROX-TV universe. It’s been a few months since we last heard from you. How is the art side of your business going? Any new projects for artwork or album covers, you’ve been working on?
The art side has slowed down, I’ve been focusing more on music. Since we last spoke, I have pumped out quite a few art pieces for people although I don’t remember all of them off the top. All of my art is on my IG @idzilleagle. I did recently complete an album cover for the Chop Shop (Big Sneak and Tre Lb). Of course I continue to do all the art for my projects as well. Since we last spoke, I have released a handful of singles as well as a studio album “Serpent Crusher”. Daniel Dahmer filmed and edited a music video for a song off of the album, titled “Supra Chiasmatic Nuclei”. The video is also up on Odysee, Rumble and Bitchute, just search “idzilleagle” or “ghosts of detroit underground”.
The last time we talked you said you were learning a new artwork program/animations. How has that been going, and have you made any videos with the new technology yet?
I have still been learning tutorials and playing around with it, but nothing serious has come about yet. I did create an animated music video for one of my singles. I created it in one day, just getting a feel for the program I’m using. The single is called “Pugilistic Stance”.
March of 2021 was a busy year with lots of drops from you. How has the reaction been to the new material including “87BPM” and “SinAesthetix”?
The reaction to the new material. I assume it’s great, however, I’m under the underground. I started late 2018, and it wasn’t until late 2019 that I began taking the music seriously as far as monetary components are concerned. So it’s been 2 years, and my numbers aren’t very high. This does not discourage me, nor do I care. I’m an artist through and through, whether it be graphics, or written or music, etc. I do what I do. I know I’m the underdog, I know the odds are against me. That doesn’t stop me. Plus, I’m confident in that what I’m putting out is better than a majority.
I understand you got another project about ready to drop on November 23rd, it’s called “Distribution by Proxy, Ghosts of Detroit Underground”. Can you talk about the new album that’s dropping and give the readers a feel for what they will experience when they listen to the album?

Yes, and this next project is also another studio album. There are 10 tracks in total, all of which have very fresh and talented features on them, except 2 tracks that are solo. The album is called “Distribution By Proxy” as you mentioned. It relates to getting the word out, spreading the message, street team style, underground, doing the distribution ourselves, etc.
The cover design is based off of the old Nintendo game Paper Boy, with a plague doctor making deliveries, sharing my music with everyone. Especially in today’s times with all of the insane censorship and shadow banning, not to mention being an underdog in the music industry. So it’s more important than ever to be sharing and supporting underground music because the algorithms aren’t in our favor and it’s only getting worse.
The whole album came together very organically. It started as just doing a song with the legendary DeadBoy himself aka James H Smith. He brought his son Szwayz with him and they both contributed to the song. “Reel Wicket” is just that, even the beat sounds like some old school wicket shit. I grew up on this stuff and I still enjoy it, it’s gotten me through a lot of tough times in the past. From there, I began reaching out to other artists and before I knew it I had a whole album full of features all of which I respect and appreciate. Lots of talent.

There’s a song “Pearls 2 Pigs” featuring MC Val. She comes all the way from Russia. Pearls to Pigs is from the old saying “dont cast pearls before the swine”, however, we are dropping gems and have no idea what potential “pig” may hear it. I can’t censor my art from the so called swine, lol, I guess that’s what big tech’s for? JK but seriously..
I performed this song by mixing English with Russian, so I rap in both languages. Most of what I say in Russian, I immediately follow up with it’s English translation. MC Val goes hard as fuck too, I even inspired her to do part of her portions of the hook in English! Other features include Teddy Bass, The Mad Butcher of KDT(KillazDontTalk), Insane Poetry and Scum of LSP. The Mad Butcher is on the song Sea Bass, inspired from the movie Dumb and Dumber. Insane Poetry and Scum are on a song I call “Snuff-All-Of-U-Guys”, it’s a play on words.
Inspired from Sesame Street’s Snuffalufugus character. So since LSP is Lyrical Snuff Productions, I thought it was only fitting. Teddy Bass is on the track “Dr.Schnabel”, based on an old plague doctor. I did a song with Daniel Dahmer, called “Granniez Pantiez”. LMAO, we had a lot of fun with this one. There’s also a song with Skitzo (skitzomichigan), featured on the title track. And the intro, which I probably should have mentioned first is featuring The Key Master Slasher Poe of the Dead Vault Horror Show. His name is Robert Paulson,… just kidding, his name is Scott Paulson and his resume is extensive, he hosts a horror podcast show and is also friends with the great John Kassir of Tales from the Crypt. The beat is a tales from the crypt beat and so it was only fitting to have the keymaster host the intro for the album.
I also have a song called “Eigengrau Child”, and this one is inspired by epiphanies that I have, this one being about the so called “Indigo Child”. Except it is in my view that the color indigo is the False Tertiary. That is to say, the 7 color spectrum rainbow as we know, is composed of 3 primary colors, 3 secondary colors and 1 tertiary color. However, that being said, eigengrau is a tertiary color with extra ordinary properties. Also, the human energy body system known as the 7 chakras correspond to the rainbow colors. Indigo lines up with the third eye chakra, but eigengrau makes more sense. I go into some of it in the song. It would take too much time here to explain fully, all of my reasonings though. Fuck Indigo! And I recorded this album at Rockhill Sound Studio. Michael Tre Lb Lockes and Mack MackDanger Matheson did the mixing and mastering. They always do an amazing job.
Once the album drops, what are you planning to support it? Any shows or live events possibly? Where can people find it for purchase?
My plans for supporting it are sharing it with as many people as I can. It will be on all digital platforms. I’ll be sharing it, distribution by proxy. And so others will be sharing as well. Tell a friend to tell a friend. Face Of Icon Magazine is doing an interview article that will be published soon.
The Brimstone Labs is doing a show in Pontiac at the Lawrence Street Project on November 27th, where I will be performing, along with lots of other talent.
It’s 420 friendly and there’s a bar or BYOB so come out and have a great time with us.

2021 has been a busy for you, with lots of content drops, have you looked to 2022 yet? Can we expect to see more content coming in the new year or any plans in the works for future projects?
I’m sure there’s always more content of some sort coming. A lot of what I create happens very organically and, in the moment, so as of right now I don’t have much to say on that. There is a project coming out soon, I’m in a group called “The 3 Mutineers” and we are releasing our 4th album “Power Side” within the next couple months. The group consists of Shocktrostic (from CO), JT-Blaze (from CA) and myself, Idzilleagle. I recently was featured on the latest House of Frankenstein release “Tales from the Tiki Lounge”. So check that album out too.
Before we wrap things up, is there anything else you want to say to the readers or talk about?
I just want to say thank you to anyone that supports this underground scene in any way, thanks to those that support me and my craft. Thanks to ROX-TV for always reaching out and asking how I’m doing. Thanks to Teddy Bass and Adhoksaja Records.
Lastly, be sure to peep that new album “Distribution By Proxy” and tell me what you think of it, that’s for everyone. I would really value all any/all feedback, negative and positive.
Much Love and Light,
Idzilleagle
