ROX-TV has been invited to cover the Great Lakes Comic Convention going down February 25th and 26th at the Macomb Expo Center, save the day

Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. As always, we thank the returning readers and greet any first timers drifting in. We received some very exciting news regarding the comic book universe. We’ve just learned that ROX-TV will be among the lucky attendees at the Great Lakes Comic Convention, which is set to visit the Macomb Expo Center which is located on the south campus of the Macomb Community College Campus (located at 14500 E. 12 Mile in Warren Michigan).

ROX-TV will be on location with its field team to bring the readers the best coverage of the event and report back all the excitement and points of interests. This year the Convention will be featuring some amazing special guests among the other sights and sounds, so get off the couch and head on down to see what’s going when they hit town on February 25th and 26th.

We’ve learned that the times of operation for Friday will consist of the doors opening at 5pm and remaining open till 9pm. The times for Saturday include doors opening at 10am and continuing to 6pm. So, here’s the deal, I’ve just gone over the features of this amazing event and you will be blown away by the guests. I will do my best to highlight some of the really cool things included, but there is so much that it might be difficult in one article.

I’ve been told that not only is there dozens of creators, editors, and other comic universe people, there is also going to be a few slots that will get the wrestling fans excited as well.

This year’s convention will be featuring Lex Luger (NWA and WCW Champion, WWF Superstar) and Ron Simmons (WWE Hall of Famer, WCW Champion, Nation of Domination). Beyond that will also be a guest appearance by Ashlee A. Kalthoff, of Disfusional Studios (COSPLAY Guest).

The other comic book convention guests have reputations for outstanding work in many of the biggest named comics of the day including Jim Shooter (Editor, Marvel Comics/Valiant Comics), Javier Saltares (Ghost Rider, Predator, Marvel Comics Presents), Bill Morrison (Bongo Comics, Simpsons, MAD Magazine), Larry Houston (Emmy Nominated Producer/Director X-Men animated series), Angel Medina (Spawn, Venom, Spider-Man), Arvell Jones (Secret of Nihm, Little Mermaid, Dragon’s Liar II: Time War), Paul Storrie (Gotham Girls, Batman Beyond, Robyn of Sherwood) and many, many more.

We are very excited at ROX-TV to be covering the event this year and will be bringing back the best visuals, interviews, and images from this gigantic event. Please stayed tuned in the coming days as we count down until the opening of the Great Lakes Comic Convention at the Macomb Expo Center.

To give you an idea of the events size, here is a list below of some of the special features. Beyond guests appearances, there will be some real rare comics up for raffle including Dr. Strange #169, Amazing Spider-Man #252, and SHE-HULK #1.

So, bring the whole family out and enjoy a wonderful day at the Great Lakes Comic Convention. There will be games, prizes, and much more. I suppose you could say that there is something for everyone. We will be adding additional information as it comes in and will be running a special edition of the event, so stay tuned.
