BIG TIME WRESTLING’S HOMECOMING: THE REUNION SELLS OUT TO CAPACITY CROWD

Professional wrestling shined brighter than ever this weekend in Chillicothe, Ohio. Unioto High School superbly hosted Big Time Wrestling: The Reunion: A Homecoming. Despite the wintry conditions the fans came out in droves. They packed the Fan Fest which featured legends of the squared circle. Table after table of sparkling nostalgia. There was wrestling fans as far as the eye could see. Children and adults alike met their favorite stars. If the Fan Fest was an appetizer, then the matches were the main course. People were picking out their seats five hours prior to bell time.

“RoxTv’s own Rudy Hill visits Chillicothe Ohio for Big Time wrestling and the Big Time wrestling Fan Fest”This past Saturday March 12th yours truly Rudy “Rude Boy” Hill was invited by the promoters of Big Time wrestling to be a part of their Fan Fest in sign autographs of play my new book”My Life The Funhouse oh, the Rudy Hill story” along with 20 other great Legends of the squared Circle, that included WWE Hall of Famers Kevin Nash, Greg Valentine, Ron Simmons,New age Outlaws& more. The first thing I notice is the venue is one of the most beautiful schools I have ever stepped foot in ( Unioto High).

I am very thankful to see my booth is all set and ready to go to meet the fans, I look over to my and there is former NWA world’s champion Wildfire Tommy Rich I look across and I see my old buddy Greg The Hammer Valentine walking in, next thing you know diesel Kevin Nash comes walking up with a warm greeting to me (which was very cool because usually he’s a dick) So already I can tell that this is going to be a positive day oh, finally the doors open to The Fan Fest and when I tell you there were thousands of fans coming through the Fest throughout the day I am not lying, it was exciting to see so many fans that were amped up to see their favorite Legends and somehow I am a part of the legend scene now?

The Fan Fest goes on for 5 hours and to be honest with you it felt like 5 minutes it was so exciting and fun, next it’s time to go over to the wrestling event in the high school gym when I first walked in I seen all of these chairs and I thought wow they have a lot of chairs most of them will probably be empty because most are attending shows, boy was I wrong the show was completely sold out turning away over a hundred fans at the door trying to get in over 3000 screaming excited fans jam-packed spot.

So the ring announcer comes out and of course introduces Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash for special presentation oh, the next thing you know everyone Rises for the playing of
the national anthem the sound man has some issues so so I began to start singing out loud The Star Spangled Banner which to my surprise. I was joined by three thousand rabid wrestling fans all singing in unison, it truly was a magical moment so many fans came up and said wow what a nice voice, I was just hoping I didn’t fuck up the lyrics LOL, next thing you know it was time for wrestling action and from the opening bell to the end of the evening it was nothing but hot wrestling action. 

There were 3,000 fans packing the gymnasium to the rafters. People were being turned away at the door and there wasn’t an empty seat in the joint. The fans were raucous from the jump. Stirring with anticipation. The National Anthem couldn’t silence this crowd who sang loud and proud filling the gymnasium. The atmosphere was hype for this stacked card. The matches featured stars from the past and present. Every match created a memory and the performers delivered. Professional wrestling at its finest. The show emptied out like a rock concert. Fans recapping the night and still buzzing from the festivities. This day left an impression on anyone in attendance. Whether it was the kid who yelled at me for blocking his view or the adult who yelled at me for blocking his view. Passionate fans are what fuel the wrestling industry and Chillicothe has no shortage of them. Big Time Wrestling’s: A Reunion: A Homecoming was The Fulton’s giving professional wrestling to the people. The show was better than advertised. In a word, FANTASTIC.

(2) “U.S.A. vs. RUSSIA” MATCH: The Iron Russian (with The Agent Known As “The Leader” David Barnabas Spector) pinned Tyler “The Hi-Flyer” Robinson in 5:37!!! Spector’s sudden presence on the ring apron provided just enough distraction of the rallying Robinson for his charge to clock Tyler with a running boot to the face for the cover!!!

(3) FOR THE VACANT “QUEEN OF THE RING” CHAMPIONSHIP: Big Mama pinned Ryleigh Matthews in 9:49 for the title following a middle-rope leaping seated-senton drop!!!

(4) FEATURE MATCH: “The Legend That Is” Sam Houston pinned “The Show” Robby “Super” Starr in 11:10 following a standing bulldog takedown!!!

(5) W.C.W. GRUDGE MATCH: “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner (representing “The New World Order – N.W.O.”) defeated Andrew Anderson “The Purple Haze” (with “The Prince Of Darkness” Kevin Sullivan and representing “The Dungeon Of Doom”), “Steiner Recliner” SUBMISSION in only 3:17!!!

(6) OHIO STATE TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Champions “Professional Wrestling’s Justice League” (“Superman” Onyx & Shark Boy) defeated “The Pittsburgh Franchise” Shane Douglas & “His
Right Hand Man” Mr. Pittsburgh Stealer #7 (Onyx pinned Stealer) in 9:29 to retain their title!!! Shark Boy’s stunner maneuver sent Stealer stumbling right into Onyx’s “sidewalk slam” for the title-retaining three-count!!!

(7) “MICHIGAN vs. OHIO STATE” MATCH: “Fantastic” Jackie Fulton pinned “Michigan’s #1 Son” The Amazing N8 Mattson in 10:06 after scooping his rebounding foe for a front falling powerslam!!! Immediately afterward The Iron Russian and Robby “Super” Starr stormed the ring to join Mattson in a triple-team beatdown on the victorious Fulton!!! First Fargo Fulton and a short time later to the absolute shock of one and all Fulton Family longtime enemy Shane Douglas arrived to make the save!!!

(8) MAIN-EVENT/FOUR-MAN TAG-TEAM MATCH: “Wildfire” Tommy Rich & “The Realest Guy In The Room” nZo defeated “Total Protection” Mr. Hughes & “The Loaded Gun” Chris Cannon (nZo pinned Cannon following an “Eat Da Feet” style maneuver) in 9:09!!!
