ROX-TV reviews Ouija Macc’s latest video drop “17 Blunts”. Come see what everyone is talking about. The future is here and banging.
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. As always, we like to bring the readers the pulse of the Juggalo Universe, and tonight is no different. Before we jump into the mix, I’d like to thank all the returning Juggalos and Juggalettes for coming back for more of that Grade-A dope music. There is a lot of movement as of late and its got me really excited, not only for the moment but also looking towards August for the Gathering of the Juggalos 22. The scene is like a pressure cooker and the lid is about to blow wide open.
Unless you’ve been locked up in the Psych-ward or living with the Amish in Ohio, the action out west has been hard to miss. Most recently Ouija Macc executed a brilliant move and signed the West Coast Wicked Shit man himself, the big homie HEXXX from Los Angeles. I really believe that a strong pick like that will only strengthen the brand and together, Ouija and HEXXX will be leading this Juggalo Army into future.
The best part about that is that the future is right fucking now and you all are getting to experience it in real time. HEXXX became the first signing to the C17 label and the newest member of the Psychopathic Family, and it has sent shockwaves through the underground. Well deserved? Rightly So? You bet and the proof is in the Faygo soaked pudding MFERS.
The two titans of C17 have been seen repeatedly in each others videos and I think the message is pretty clear: The Family is growing and fucking up shit at a high velocity. If Ouija is a Glock, then HEXXX is the hollow points and together they are shooting the joint up in proper Wicked West style. For decades the power base has been in the Juggalo Mecca of Detroit City, with the supreme OG’s ruling from the Murder Mitten. Insane Clown Posse has dominated the underground for so long, there can be no disputing the greatness of the Psychopathic Records Dynasty.
Now it’s the time of a vast expansion which has been a few years in the making. Ouija Macc has consistently shown to be a man worthy of the task of locking down the west side of the country and the addition of HEXXX only strengthens that play. This Juggalo thing of ours, which started out small on the streets of Southwest Detroit, spread to the cities around the state like Flint-Town, Saginaw, Lansing, and beyond…forever growing and devouring all in its path. Now we have the West locked down as well and C17/Psychopathic reign supreme.
I’ve watched this thing from the street level since 1992 and to see it blossom into what it is today, gives me a sense of pride. The Juggalos and Juggalettes won out against all odds and I will never stop reminding people of that fact. The bunk fair-weather fans will always fade away, but for those of you that are down till you’re dead in the ground, you can trust in the foundation that has been laid. I’ve been riding with a hatchet for three decades and it still holds true, as it did back in the early 1990’s. This movement and culture is a place to hang your hat and know that you’re on firm ground. This scene has defeated radio, MTV, and the nay-sayers…That’s all the proof you need right there.
So anyway back to the reason why we are here, it’s time to take a look at yet another banger from Ouija Macc. This guy is an absolute machine when it comes to creating content and it’s been a real pleasure to watch the man live in concert and on Michigan soil. I most recently caught Ouija Macc’s show at Simons After Dark and he shattered the streets of Allen Park with his bombastic stage presence and music. After the show I got to say hello to him briefly, along with Violent J of Insane Clown Posse, and it was dope. You never know what’s going to happen on stage or who might slip in the back door, that’s why you don’t miss a show. His sets in Arizona were amazing as well, along with Road Side Ghost and Insane Clown Posse’s performances. That show was worth the thirty hour drive. Ok, enough talk, time to get to business. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the ROX-TV review of “17 Blunts”. Enjoy and drive home safe…

Review:
The song starts out with a dope beat that I can only describe as a steady jogging pace. Ouija wastes no time in jumping into the rhythm and away he goes. The music, combined with his unique sound are like a cold drink of Faygo Red Pop on a warm day. It’s a head nodder for sure. Within sixteen seconds or so, Ouija is in firm control of the vibe. Around the 26th second, there is a nice visual from a chick in the bathtub, just sayin.
The video is shot in what I would describe as “cool” colors, with haze, blues, which are easy on the eyes. There are no blaring or “loud” color patterns and that is fine with me. I like that chill, midnight feel better anyway, and I’m sure the gas heads and green smokers will agree on that. This is a video that you can throw on around 1am and just let it ride. I know because I’ve already done it a few times and it agrees with the “night life” just fine.
Around the 1:04 mark, there is brief break in the action for some well earned coughs and Ouija Macc proclaims “Damn Devereaux, you got that fire”. I think that line righteously applies to the smoke and the beats. Devereaux doesn’t fuck around and always comes correct with his craft. With about ninety three seconds left, Ouija still has plenty of time to destroy the track, but it’s already been killed. I could go on and on with descriptive words but there is no need. This track and video is dope and that is the bottom line. Watch the shit and enjoy.
ROX-TV Rating:
Another slam in the books. This is a five star release.

That’s about all there is to say about this track. But don’t worry, at the current pace set by Ouija Macc, HEXXX, and C17, we won’t have to wait long for another banger. Till next time homies and home-ettes, peace…
