ROX-TV’s continuing coverage of the Gathering of the Juggalos 2022 keeps rolling like a Backwoods. See what Rude Boy and DJ Carlito got cooking up for the event!

Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. As always, we appreciate the readers stopping in to see what we got going on. We’ve been dropping fresh articles for you all month in anticipation of the 22nd Annual Gathering of the Juggalos going down in O-H-I-O. So far, we’ve had DJ Chunk, Devereaux, and Shaggytheairhead stop by, and tonight we keep the party going with my fellow Los Drifters and brothers…Rude Boy and DJ Carlito. It’s been a busy month and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. We’ve got more GOTJ interviews on the way, so keep checking back, you don’t want to miss anything. So, with that all being said, I will jump into this piece the way I always do…head fucking first.

Backing up for context

DJ Carlito and the Rude Boy will be hosting Violent J’s “Dance with the Dead” party going down at Legend Valley. Don’t miss it!

It’s always great to be speaking with the Rude Boy and DJ Carlito. If you’ve been following ROX-TV over the last two years then you will know that we’ve been putting in some serious work. Last year we brought you a shit load of great interviews from the Juggalo Universe, as well as other content that we found interesting and unique. Anyone wishing to dip back in time and read them is welcome to do so. On the main page of the ROX-TV website you will find a large grouping of tags and names on the left side of the screen. Click on “kidvicious810” and you will have access to over 150 grade-A dope articles going back a minute. All in all, I’ve cranked out 244 articles on the site and with a little work, they can all be found one way or another.

The grind is real, and you could say that the Los Drifters are out there. Sometimes we are front and center, while other times we lurk on the edge of the room, taking it all in and bringing back the very best to the readers. As many of the loyal readers know, we put together Rude Boy’s book “My Life the Funhouse” and dropped it last November. It is available on Amazon and has been sold in four different currency zones as of July 2022. I think that’s dope and the Rudy Hill story has really taken on a life of its own.

I’d like to shout out a few countries that have been buying the book including Turkey (shout out to my homegirl Z), Belgium (shout out to the “Riddle Box: A Belgium fansite of Insane Clown Posse, which listed “My Life the Funhouse” in their Juggalo book section, https://www.riddlebox.be/homepage/bibliography/non_psychopathic_books/2021_my_life_the_funhouse.html, down ass Juggalos from England, a shit load of support from Canadian Juggalos (special shout out to Outlaw Radio, Canada’s number one uncensored radio station 97.7FM, my homie DJ Immortal https://outlawradiolive.ca/dj-immortal,) the homies in the Netherlands for their continued support of “My Life the Funhouse” and even as far away as Africa. The Rude Boy and myself thank you for your support! It means everything to us. This is also true for the stateside fans, especially the Toldeo Juggalos for showing mad love.

The Rude Boy and DJ Carlito have been down in the scene for literally a lifetime and beyond. The Rude Boy was rolling with Violent J before Inner City Posse cranked out the infamous and legendary “Dog Beats” cassette decades earlier. They were rolling around Southwest when pagers were a status symbol of doctors and dope dealers. DJ Carlito was born into the Juggalo Life, down by birth right, destined to run with hatchet when he was finally old enough to do so. Since that time, the Rude Boy and DJ Carlito have been deep in the history of the Clowns.

With a little backdrop and context out of the way, we can jump into the reason why the Carnales are here tonight. It’s to ring the bell and rap about the upcoming Gathering of the Juggalos Late Night Party, featuring my homies from Southwest Detroit leading the charge. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, “Violent J’s Dance with the Dead Party” is going down at the Gathering this year and hosted by my brothers Rude Boy and DJ Carlito. This is part of Violent J’s Dream and it’s going to be hotter than a crack house on fire in August if you catch my drift. To make matters even better, there will be the Zombie Troupe, which I’ve been told were hand selected by the Duke himself. It’s going to be a dance with the dead, for the ages. Come on down and be counted when it really matters.

My brother Rude Boy, it’s always great to kick it with you, whether we are eating in Mexicantown, chilling at the Clark Park with brown bags, ripping across the country for a show or a wrestling match, cooking out on the Detroit River, tipping over at the Black Horse Cantina, or posted up at the Squeeze Station for Chicano Fest. But tonight’s news is really exciting, and I wanted to ask you about the event, so here we go…

Interview with the Rude Boy

Southwest Detroit

June 16th, 2022

1:30pm

How did the concept of this party come together?

“Well, Violent J asked us to be part of his Dance with the Dead Party and of course…we were very honored to do it”

I know this isn’t your first rodeo at the Gathering, but for the readers who might not know, can you tell us about some of the things Rude Boy and DJ Carlito have done in the past?

“Every year we turn it out with our legendary Cruisin the Barrio parties at the Gathering. Depending on what’s going every year, we host events or stages, introducing artists or hosting contests”

Last year I caught you introducing the West Coast Wicked Shit homie HEXXX at the Clown Drip Stage. Later on, I ran into you guys cruising the main drag of Legend Valley, only to have you turn up again to host a dope ass rap battle contest…and then sometime after 10pm I hitched a ride with you on the golf cart that may or may not nearly sank in a tiny pond. The GOTJ is a busy time but a fun time for the Los Drifters. Any comment on this year’s party with the dead?

“If you thought our other parties were the shit, let me tell you…this year’s “Dancing with the Dead Party” will blow your ass away”

And the concept of “Dancing with the Dead” can you expound on that some to give people an idea of what that is all about?

“You do not want to miss this one. When you think of “Dancing with the Dead”…it’s like dancing with your old homies, perhaps they are no longer with us…a way to remember and honor them proper”

Are there any requests or perhaps “proper attire” for those attending the “Dance with the Dead” party?

Make sure you wear the proper attire at the “Dance with the Dead” late night party. Rudy wants to see everyone’s best Cholo Hookups, Chucks, long socks, and bandanas. Get down with class!

“We are encouraging everyone who comes out to the “Dance with the Dead” party to wear your best Cholo Hookups, bandanas, khakis, long socks and Chucks in honor of your favorite homies who have passed away over the years. Of course, the music will feature those who have passed away including Eazy-E, MJ, Prince, and many more. Don’t you dare miss it”

Well, we appreciate you coming on to chop it up with us tonight brother. I’ll be seeing you next weekend in Southwest Detroit, so until then go easy and rock steady. We will be interviewing DJ Carlito in the coming days as well as other artists, so keep coming back damn it.
