Citizen Records in France announce the release of the “Blue Ballet”, the latest drop from Don Turi. The EP has been described as “uncompromising white-hot acid techno”. Check it out!
Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. We have some exciting news from our friends overseas, France to be exact. Citizen Records has just announced some very big news. If you follow the techno universe, then the name Don Turi will not be new to you. With the release of “Blue Ballet“, Don Turi is unleashing a harder hitting album that dips into a darker side than maybe previously seen. The press release just landed on my desk from our friends over at Citizen Records, so let’s take a look…
The Don Turi project was created in 2018 by Emiliano Turi. From all accounts, once the project got moving, a 2019 single was dropped by a German Label “Get Physical”. The track was called “Not Ton” and after remixing a song for Marc Houle, started working on a project during the lockdowns. The efforts created a ten producer collab called “The Two”.
Somewhere in between all that, Don Turi found the time to release his EP called “54 Steps”. It received some warm reception from different outlets in the country, only furthering the buzz around his music. Now Citizen Records, founded by the brilliant Vitalic, is dropping “Blue Ballet”, Don Turi’s latest project. The end result is a more “acid techno lean”.
“It’s time to relive (or discover) the almost mystical atmosphere of the first big electronic gatherings of the 1990’s, time to close your eyes and raise your hands”

I’ve checked out some of Don Turi’s stuff and I dig it. I think it captures the vibe very well and wouldn’t mind head tripping out to the “Blue Ballet“. After checking out those tracks on YouTube, I started looking at the back catalogue of songs. I like what I hear. It’s something that I could kill a day to, zipping around the clouds bumping some gas. It’s definitely worth a listen. As always, I’m thankful for the heads up from Citizen Records, home of one of the greats, none other than Vitalic.
There seems to be a lot of action bubbling up from Paris these days and you know I’m a fan of movement. I will continue to bring the ROX-TV readers any news I get from my French Connection. Hopefully we might be able to snag Don Turi for an interview in the coming months. Keep coming back for things we find unique and interesting, only on ROX-TV.
