Welcome back to the ROX-TV website. As always, we like to keep the readers updated with events going down in the scene. Well, we’ve got some more news to share. This Friday, November 4th the Legendary Rude Boy will be dropping a party in Hamtramck. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the Rude Boy is bringing his birthday celebration to Trixie’s and it’s only a few days away. The name of this devastating event is the “Day of the Dead Party” and will be hosted by my homies DJ Carlito and Steven Foster.

Now you already know how I feel about live events. If you can be there, then you should go there. To combat the technology run-away, people need to liberate themselves from their computers and devices and head into the real world for a night of good times. That’s what I believe in and I will never stop talking about that. Fuck full time life on the internet. Get your best duds on, pull some kicks out of the box, and hit the door. Now, if you are following along then you know there’s a dope party to go to, so like Nike always said “just do it”. This Friday head over to the “Day of the Dead Party” and chill with your favorite homeboys.

The Rude Boy has a lineup of live music for your personal enjoyment. Music will be pumped in between sets by my brother DJ Carlito and the Cruisin The Barrio crew. There will be some authentic Chicano Artwork for sale at the gig so check that out as well. Now I know, you’re asking yourself “but what will it take to get in”. Relax, it’s easy and for a good cause. On the way to the party, stop by your local all-purpose store and pick up a new winter hat or a pair of gloves to donate at the door.

If you’re short on time, then just grab a fiver and drop it in the can. All cash donations will be given to the Southwest Detroit’s Congress of Communities. Now, I love a live event, but even more than that…I love doing the right thing for a good cause. Gear to keep the less fortunate warm this winter is as good as it gets.

So there you go, this Friday on November Fourth head down to Hamtramck for a proper “Day of the Dead Party” with Southwest Detroit’s favorite son…the one and only Rude Boy. Come wish the vato a happy birthday, crack a Modelo, and get down like we used to! ROX-TV will see you there.

Signing Off,

Mike Shepard
