“It should be noted, Pallazo and Martinson were both positively identified with the assistance of Sergeant Nicholas Rae of Warwick Police Department. Warwick police developed intelligence that Pallazo and Martinson were linked to a gang who call themselves “WARAQ”. Sergeant Rae was able to obtain Facebook video containing incriminating video footage of the suspects clearly inciting riots and encouraging protesters to storm the Mall to loot and damage property”

The World Wide Tour for Waraq is coming to Michigan on April 17th, get your tickets soon. Who knows? It might sell out with all the buzz around the group.

Welcome to the ROX-TV website. I was recently advised about an upcoming WARAQ WORLD TOUR, coming to Michigan on April 17th at Simon’s After Dark in Allen Park. I had heard the name of the group before but beyond that, I must admit that I didn’t know that much about the artists.

I decided to start poking around and immediately found some press, in regards to a riot that two members of Waraq are accused of inciting (William Pallazo and Joshua Martinson). After reading about the riot, I decided to reach out to Fury and ask him some questions about Waraq. Within hours, Fury had responded to my questions.

Before we get any deeper, could you please tell the ROX-TV readers who you are?

Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is FURY, and I am the Advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal champions of underground rap…WARAQ. I AM ALSO THE KING OF ALL LIZARDS.
I’ve just personally been turned onto the Waraq scene and music. Like others, I’m just starting to familiarize myself with songs and figuring out what these guys are all about. In your own words, what is Waraq? (Members, the message, the mission)
WARAQ IS THE BIGGEST RAP GROUP OF ALL TIME. That is all.
In the course of my reading, I learned that members of the group Waraq were charged by the Providence Police back in June with inciting a riot and/or being a criminal gang? Can you tell the readers at ROX-TV what that was all about?
Waraq dropping those W’s
Waraq has been labeled a gang in police documents yes that is true.
The group is gaining some serious momentum. What can we expect from the Waraq show at Simon’s?
Expect the unexpected… the Simon’s show is not going to be a regular stop on the tour we have special guests coming that you will not want to miss!
For people just getting turned onto scene, what is one thing that is absolutely necessary in understanding group and their perspectives/music?
This is 100% serious

For the new fans or people wanting to hear more, where can they purchase and find Waraq material?

In the course of my reading, it appears that everyone see’s what they want to when looking at Waraq. I’m an old school Juggalo and used to hear some of the same criticisms about ICP back in the early nineties (these points of view were from people I had mentioned Waraq to, that is all, nothing more or less). People didn’t understand the music or were just hating on it, and the fastest shortcut to thinking was to attack the group, music, and fans. How has the group dealt with this? Or is it a case or not listening to anyone not down for the cause?

We literally have never heard any criticism because we are perfect.

Is there any news or information that you’d like to tease out in the article? Perhaps in preparation for the upcoming show, or maybe some new material or projects on the horizon?

Waraq’s new album coming on Leathal Wreckords in 2021.

This is the space to say whatever you feel like…

BIG W SHIT BITCH
YOU ALLREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS
[Author’s Note: It was very interesting to learn a little bit more about the group. I must say that either they have been blessed with cleverness or at the very least, are very resourceful. The comments online are wide ranging about the seriousness of the group, some believe and others “cringe”. After I first viewed the YouTube posting for June 30th, 2020, entitled “Waraq” I noticed immediately that there was 161,000 views for a video containing some interesting looking and sounding “backyard rappers”. I say this with all the respect they deserve, but they are in a backyard and they are rapping. I make no judgements on that, I’m simply stating what is seen on the screen.

Obviously there was a rapper, dropping some lyrics, while reading off his phone. I wasn’t sure what to make of that but again, fuck it, I was watching and I couldn’t turn away. So these guys are doing their thing, when all of a sudden a door appears for no reason, standing in the backyard, defying any logic what so ever. One of the homies walks away from the group briefly, seems to notice that this fucking weird door is hanging around, does some kind of American Ninja Karate hand move (from the 80’s) and lunges at this door, which again, seems to materialize out of nowhere and has no known purpose.

Waraq dropping cell phone lyrics in the backyard.
The karate kid delivers an amazing flying kick and practically turns the door into toothpicks (kind of) before crashing to the ground from the terrific collision. After regaining his composure, the cat rises to his feet and vanishes with the quickness. I barely understood what it all meant, but found it cool regardless. I don’t need shit to make sense in order to enjoy it. I’ve drank with homeless bums for hours in the past and this type of thing falls into that universe. Doing something for the hell of it, or better yet, to confound or confuse is dope to me. My hat is off to these guys.
After the acapella verse from William Pallazo, a guy kicks out the bottom rocker of a nearby porch and begins his verse. He needs a second to catch his breath and then releases a machine gun blast of lyrics, before “Pale Mamba” is introduced for his hammer wielding rhymes. On face value, its hard to say what’s really going on here. At first a person could take it any way they wanted; serious, amateur, or just pretty far out shit.

I’m like “ok, that was a trip”. Opinions start to formulate, and ideas about what this group is all about……but…then I clicked on another video called “Waraq Raq Stars Cypher” posted on YouTube on January 16, 2021 (15,000 views and moving) and my mind was blown. These guys are either the fastest learners on the planet, lucky, clever, or just plain calculated because the track is pretty good, and is light years from that June 30th, 2020 posting. Seven months isn’t a very long time. But somehow Waraq went from acapella back yard rapping, reading off their phones, with karate chop doors and hidden rappers under the house……to a pretty interesting video, which looks very professional and sounds good. The visuals are the good. What the fuck happened there?

Waraq is causing a stir, no matter what their motivations might be
I suppose its no use trying to figure it all out because no matter who I’m going to ask, I will probably get a different view and perspective on the group. People are notorious for seeing what they want, and this is like that blue dress saga from a few years back. No two people can agree on shit. Am I intrigued? Absolutely. Was I entertained? Of course. Did some of the visuals make me laugh (lyrics as well)? It sure did, especially that door bit.
Maybe the best thing to do is not worry so much and just enjoy what is “presented” in real time. I will be at the show in April and if I was a betting man, I’d say this gig will sell out long before Waraq takes the stage. Who cares? Mad Geniuses? They very well could be.
*All quotes were taken from postings found on the internet in regards to the Police and the news station. Any misspellings were left as is. Would I be surprised to find out nothing is really what it seems? No.]
